This 1966 Corvette convertible restomod is the perfect blend of classic style and modern performance and comfort. It recently had a complete frame off restoration performed by us, Fort Pitt Classic Cars. We have all the documentation and photographs to show the extensive amount of work that went into this Corvette.
The exterior of the car retains the stock Corvette shape, but finished in a modern blue metal flake paint with black accents on the big block hood. All the chrome and trim is either new or refinished. The wheels are 17 inch Billet Specialties rims. Sidepipes complete the look.
The interior has the original look, but has been upgraded with air conditioning, modern leather seats, a Kenwood bluetooth enabled stereo, Autometer stainless steel gauges, billet steering wheel with tilt column, and power windows. The seats are far more comfortable than the originals and there is a copious amount of sound and heat insulation underneath the carpet, making this a great long distance cruiser. And with more side bolstering, they hold you in place during cornering as well. The carpets, door panels, and trim pieces are all brand new as well. There is also an alarm security system to protect from theft.
Under the hood, there is a 6.0 liter GM LS2 producing 400 horsepower. It’s connected to a 6 speed automatic transmission. To keep everything running cool, there is an oversized aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. There are Sharkbite adjustable coilovers with high performance 4 piston brakes at all four corners. This thing handles and drives just like a C6 Corvette!
This resto-mod 66 is the perfect car for someone who want’s the look of a 1966 Corvette Stingray, with the modern performance and comfort of a new Corvette. If you are interested, give us a call, or stop by.
