Hello and thank you for looking at my 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe that is up for sale!It has been in restoration process for over a year and a half! Now; finally that it is complete, I have decided that it is not the 2016 version of what it was that I wanted so up for sale it goes! To start, let me begin by embarrassing myself and share with you that I have spent over $40k on his project.Almost 2 years ago, I purchased a 1995 base model Tahoe. The finished version would be the equivalent of a current model LT.Originally, the Tahoe had a 5.7 ltr carbureted V8 of which I did what is referred to as an LS1 motor swap. It now has a completed electronic fuel injected LS1 motor. I have purchased a new wiring harness, a new ECM, radiator, a/c system (bout 2k in that), fluid containers, serpentine belt, alternator, fan and the list goes on and on… Another tragic story told about how much money was spent; I shoulda bought a boat! That being said; here is the fun part… I did have custom long tube headers installed and had a complete true dual exhaust manufactured all the way back from the headers. Each pipe continues out of the right rear of the vehicle and comes from its own left and rightports of the engine…. Also, the engine has new pistons, rings, crank, and the most fun - a stage III Brian Tooley truck cam. It lopes moderately and man; does it sound good! To continue, it also has a brand new oil sump/pan at the bottom to hold the additional oil and don’t forget the new custom motor mounts. The engine performs as most any 5.3 ltr motor but the top end pulls very strong even beyond what the old 5.7 could have dreamed… I have had this motor professionally built and tuned and put on the dyno. (Same company that did the resto) I can prove our resultsand it has consistently pulled over 306 hp to the crank and about 279 to the rear wheels…. To put that into perspective, this vehicle came with about 100 hp less to crank and wheels in its original state.Oh! There is a YouTube video somewhere if you wanna find it. (LOOK UP IMG3938 Tahoe) This is only for video purposes; later on the Tahoe was retuned for retuning and more mods… (no video afterwards). Ok, moving on… the interior of this vehicle has been completing gutted, stripped, and sand blasted, painted, dyno matted, and reupholstered in a custom two tone leather. Black carpet has been installed, custom Chevrolet embossed mats, brand new headliner and brand new pioneer touch screen stereo with 7.4" displaywhich featuresback up camera-thisstereo was placed in mind to suite the customdash board trim which looks like it came factory in 1995.I had to wait 2 months for the trim piece! The Tahoe has power windows and locksand Iopted forkeyless entrywith remote start! Finally, the seats are also upgraded… Originally, there were bench seats throughout, and I have elected to purchase and install power captain chairs left and right as well as a brand new rear fold down seat. And get this; they are heated seats! In addition to these new upgrades, there is also about $3k worth of 20” custom Chevrolet rims and Nitto tires with a full size spare Nitto tire/rim. Chrome bumpers front and rear were purchased as well with the optional fog lights installed. Now to the brakes, I have had a complete reman done on the braking system. I have gone with brand new vented discs brakes up front with red calipers, and also brand new rear drums… a conversion is available to disc if you so choose for the rear drum. The list goes on and on but if you notice the paint is also black now. It’s a customer tri-color black paint that looks great! Finally, to give you a heads up, you can only spend so much money before you realize it’s a 20 year old vehicle and you’re never going to get out what you put into it unless you plan on keeping it. Originally, I had planned on keeping it but things change as has my bank account! This Tahoe is not without its imperfections however… I wish with all the motor modifications I had done allowed it to be a little faster off the line, but in its defense, it is a heavy vehicle and it does only have the original 4 speed transmission.(which is also new)I think it should also have a shorter gear in it but performance of today’s age is not the same as 20 years ago. In addition to that, the front bumper is slightly off center on and if you look at it long enough you will notice the right side of the front bumper should be re-welded to put it back on center. The same with the rear but it needs to be raised about an inch… (I’m not doing it, lol) I’m done spending money on itJ but other than that, the vehicle looks good, it sounds good and the new engine/transmission only has 182 miles on it. Oh, I keep thinking of things, the newly wrapped leather steering wheel give it a very comfortable feeling while driving…. It drives good, it sounds good, and it actually handles very well with the wider Nitto tires. I did not lift the vehicle by the way, its stance is very prominent and looks great. I did throw a couple “5.3” and “LT” block letters on each side and Chevrolet/GM emblem on the back. Overall, it has been a fun project but it has depleted my accounts and I will entertain any reasonable offer but its not gonna be $10! Check it out, drive it, listen to it, whatever you think you need to do but I have had numerous offers already and when it hits the magic number, away it goes! Thank you and please email me with any questions. Thank you.
