1994 Chevy CAPRICE police package 5.7 motor.
I have owned this car for about 16 years. I have spent lots of money on it over the years. may need a few more tings done. overall its pretty clean it had been repainted before I bought it and the front passenger door replaced, it runs excellent and always has. the Wheels are 22" TIS have less than 5000 miles on them. I have had the car in storage for years and barely drive it. I just took it back out and want to sell because I don't have time or space for it. It started up immediately and I have driven it about 80 miles in the past 2 days, still runs really well for such an old car. the car has never been driven in winter since I have owned it and it has always been in a garage covered. there are some chips in the paint under the bra on the hood. there are some other flaws in the paint here and there but no to bad. the hood ornament was removed and hole filled, as was the hole where the spot light was and this was before it was repainted. it also had the SS grill installed and the spoiler.
things it may need, the computer that makes the oil light and check engine light come on may need to be replaced, about6 years ago a mechanic told me that oil dripped on the computer and it was making the lights go on and off on their own ( I see the lights come on and off now and then, though the oil is full and the engine is fine)
differences from the civilian model Caprice include, 5.7 liter 350ci LT1 motor, a thicker frame, oversized front and rear sway bars; full-size spare tire (in the case of the 4th generation 1994-96 Caprice Classic police car); high-output alternator; lifetime-rated green silicone coolant hoses; four-wheel disc brakes; HD steel wheels and speed-rated tires; quick-ratio power steering and transmission and power steering oil coolers; certified digital speedometer; stiffer body mounts and more of them; true dual exhaust.
things I have done prior to it being in storage. Most of this stuff was done within the last 20,000 mines
new Optima battery in November ($200)
TIS Chrome 22" rims and new tires (paid $3,000)
Rebuilt transmission ($1,500)
new flow master Mufflers
new radiator
oil cooler lines
new carpet
all new speakers and AMP (spent almost $1,000) nothing super special but sounds nice. cant remember what kind
had the chrome trim all switched to the darn cherry metallic, the rocker moldings were powder coated and don't match the paint perfectly
changed the tail lights to the impala ss ones with black trim instead of chrome
LED neon lights underneath (they call it 7 million color) can basically do any color combination and flashing pattern, all 4 tubes can operate differently at the same time
I had the exhaust chopped off on the back and routed out on an angle behind the tires, with fat 18" long chrome tips
I made the plates for behind the wheels and had them painted to match the car (they do have a lil flex and make noise when you hit a big bump in the road)
new plugs and wires not to many miles ago
new power steering pump
Also the brake pads and rotors were done no to many miles ago and should still be almost fully intact..
Like I said the car needs a few more things done if you want, otherwise drive it as is, I always have.
SOLD AS IS, buyer arranges shipping if needed.
