1967 Chevrolet Camaro Description
1967 RS-SS Camaro Pro Street. One of a kind chop top Camaro, wheel tubs, with roll cage. Shaved door handles and wipers and locks. Remote control door opener. Glass windshield with lexan tinted side windows and rear window. Custom flame paint. Roof lowered 7 inches. Engine is a 454 cubic inch that has been bored 100 over with 12 1/2 to 1 pistons, steel crank, aluminum D port heads and Crowler camshaft with Pete Jackson gear drive. A Vertex magneto supplies the spark. It currently has a C&S alcohol racing carb and Holley mechanical fuel pump and produces over 900 horsepower. There is a 25 gallon fuel cell in the trunk area and a rear mounted battery with cut off switch. There is no chrome or anything fancy under the hood. Prorstar 15x6 wheels on front and 15x12 on rear with 18inch wide tires Hoosier tires. It can also run on racing fuel by changing the carb. It has a Jerry Taylor racing, powerglide transmission with a trans brake. A vertigate racing shifter. The rear differential is a Ford 9 inch with 488 gears and Mosler axels. The rear suspension is a 4 link with coil over springs and shocks. Racing seats and seatbelts and telltale tachometer There is a set of wheelie bars that comes with the car and a 454 shortblock bored 60 over. There is no heater. This car was completely built from scratch in 2000 with new sheet metal and was featured in the Dupont paints calendar in 2003. This is not an everyday street car. It is a nice cruise night car that will turn heads, it is a one of a kind.
