Are you a Vega guy? I have had many of them since the 1970s. This is my final car and I have been working on it for the last 12 years. As original as they come! I have a long detailed report I can email you and am happy to take any pictures you like, talk on the phone or show in person. It has been in dry storage most if not all of its life. I never drive it in winter.
1971 Vega Kammback Wagon. Very original and unmolested car that runs better than new. About 55k original miles. Original numbers matching 140 CID 2.3 liter 4 cylinder with factory 4 speed. 3:36 rear end. Power steering, power brakes. 5 matching BF Goodrich radial T/As are 99%. All the GT equipment is there and is in perfect condition. 99.5% rust free. ORIGINAL FACORY PAINT! One tiny piece of surface-rust at the rear hatch and a small bit below the metal battery tray. No rust at all anywhere else. This is the first and best year for the Vega. The Motor Trend Car of the Year.Needs finishing (mostly body work and paint and front seats redone) but so much has been done and there are so many NOS parts here you could spend years recreating this. Hoping to sell to a person who wants to keep the car’s originality intact. I have clear title and 12 years or records and receipts.
My long-term knowledge of these cars and 12 years of effort has allowed me to make this a very reliable and well-rounded car. I have a ton of extra rare parts that I will offer to the person who buys the car as they should all be added to the car during a restoration.
Hoping there is an original Vega guy out there who knows what this is. If you need a personal reference then ask Dave at Dave's Vega Village in Vancouver BC. He knows me and the car well. Thanks George 360 707-1431 groth@seanet.com
