WHERE DO YOU FIND AN ALL ORIGINAL RUST FREE CLASSIC R30 LIKE THIS? THESE OLD TRUCK ARE SO RARE (BECAUSE MOST WERE USED AND ABUSED) BACK IN THERE WORK DAYS!! WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT IS AN ALL ORIGINAL ( EXCEPT FOR THE STEERING WHEEL) 1987 CHEVY SILVERADO R30 CREW CAB 3+3 WITH ONLY 142K MILES WITH ABOUT ALL THE OPTIONS YOU COULD GET. I BOUGHT THIS DUALLY FROM THE 2ND OWNER THAT PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER BACK IN 2008. HE BOUGHT IT FOR A SPARE TRUCK TO HAVE AROUND THAT COULD PULL HIS GOOSE NECK TRAILER BUT REALLY DID NOT USE IT MUCH (10K MILES IN CLOSE TO 9 YEARS). THIS TRUCK WAS PURCHASED NEW IN CALIFORNIA AND SPENT ITS ENTIRE LIFE OUT THERE TILL IT CAME HOME TO ME IN TEXAS. THE R30 HAS THE 7.4L 454 THAT IS FUEL INJECTED (CHEVY FIRST YEAR) AND IS BACKED UP BY THE MONSTER T400 TRANS. THIS OLD TRUCK RUNS AND SHIFTS OUT LIKE A TOP (WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO DRIVE ANYWHERE). WITH A TURN OF THE KEY SHE CRANKS RIGHT UP AND HAS NO SQUEKS, RATTLES OR PULLS. THE GENTLEMAN I PURCHASED FROM CHANGED ALL THE FLUIDS EVERY 6 MONTHS. THE TRUCK DOES NOT LEAK ANTHING, AND HE ALSO PUT 6 BRAND NEW TIRES ON HER. THE TRUCK HAS PWR WINDOW, LOCKS AND CRUISE AND EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL ON THE TRUCK WORKS ALONG WITH THE HEATER AND A/C. THE DUALLY HAS A 5TH WHEEL AND A FUNCTIONING AUXILIARY FUEL TANK AND IF I WAS GUESSING IT WOULD HAVE TO HOLD AT LEAST 50 GALLONS. I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK ON THE INTENTIONS OF BAGGING IT BUT DECIDED TO KEEP MY 79 C10 SO THIS ONE HAS TO GO. THE HOOD AND THE HIPS ON HER HAD SOME SERIOUS CLEAR COAT ISSUES SO I HAD THEM RESPRAYED ALONG WITH THE UPPER PORTION OF THE TAILGATE, AND THE REST OF THE TRUCK WAS WET SANDED AND BUFFED TO LET THAT BLACK SHINE AGAIN. THERE ARE A FEW THIN SPOTS HERE AND THERE BUT OVER ALL THE TRUCKS PAINT LOOKS GOOD. THE INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE FOR ITS AGE MINUS A SMALL TEAR IN DRIVERS SEAT (PLEASE REFER TO PICTURE) AND A SLIGHT SAG IN THE HEADLINER THAT JUST NEEDS TO BE STRETCHED. ALL THE REST OF THE INTERIOR PARTS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE ALONG WITH THE EXTERIOR TRIM, GRILLE, WINDOWS ETC. I WAS GOING TO HAVE THE PIN STRIPES TAKEN OFF BUT IT WAS ABOUT THE TIME I DECIDED TO SALE IT SO I LEFT THEM ON TO SHOW WHAT A TIME CAPSULE THE TRUCK IS AND IT JUST SCREAMS "THE 80S ERA" WITH THEM ON AND THE ANTENNA ON TOP (EASY YO REMOVE ALL OF THAT). LIKE I STATED ABOVE, MECHANICALLY THIS TRUCK IS SOUND AND ONCE I FIXED THE LITTLE BIT OF CLEAR COAT ISSUES I WAS GOING TO PUT THE 22S ON HER AND BAGG IT, OR YOU COULD ENJOY IT THE WAY IT IS. I HAVE DONE SEVERAL FRAME OFFS BUT I THINK HOW BEASTLY THIS TRUCK IS IT LOOKS GOOD HOW SHE SITS. I THINK THESE R30 ARE THE NEXT UP AND COMING TRUCKS AND ARE VERY HARD TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS SHAPE (I LOOKED FOR A YEAR).
