Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this true American classi, 1958 Chevrolet Corvette,presented in the rare and great looking 2-tone combination of Tuxedo Black and Inca Silver this is a true collectors piece.The exterior features quality polished chrome work that shows off the Corvette's coke bottle lines and its nice paint. In an era of chrome and four headlamps, the Corvette succumbed to the look of the day. The 1958 model year and the four that followed all had the exposed four-headlamp treatment and prominent grills, but a faux-louvered hood and chrome trunk spears were unique to 1958. The shiny hub caps and white wall tires give this Corvette a classic and luxurious stance. Going into the interior, the interior and instruments were updated, including placing a tachometer directly in front of the driver.
For the 1958 model only, an 8000 rpm tachometer was used rather than the 6000 rpm units typical in 1955, the red vinyl buckets seats are comfortable and firm they combine greatly with the black and silver accents all across the dash. This 58 has been well taken care off as you can see, it has always been garage kept and always professionally serviced, you can own this masterpiece and put it into your collection or it can be quite a great starting piece, but don't miss your chance because these beauties don't last long. Owned by a local Dallas collector, the car has been well taken care of.
Not having much history on the car, we checked the numbers and found, the block appears to have been decked at some point, so there was no matching VIN #. However, the numbers on the block were as follows; block casting# 3737739, the intake is an aluminum Winters casting# 3739653, engine pad number shows T502D. It has the correct generator and correct Carter carbs.
The interior looks to have been redone at some point, and is in very good condition.
The 58 has it's correct original Wonder Bar radio.
The white, manually operated, convertible top is in very good condition.
