1956 Rare color Chevy 210 ( Bel Air clone ) Restomod
Restoration on this little Chevy began 2 years ago on a well preserved sedan by the 46 year owner of this vehicle.
Starting with the frame, it was sandblasted and painted chassis black. Outback a 67 10 bolt nova rear was added while upfront suspension was rebuilt and tubular A arms were installed. New Master Power brakes all around with front disc and rear drum brakes. Power steering with new Borgeson steering box linked to Ididit tilt column. New shocks were added.
Under the hood, a newly rebuilt 350 with 10 to 1 pistons, roller cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock durashine 2 x 4 intake with polished Edelbrock 500 carbs. Exhaust exits through Hooker headers and 2 1/2 " stainless exhaust with H pipe, Flowmasters and chrome rear tips. Engine is cooled by new aluminum radiator, electric fan and serpentine system. New battery and alternator. Engine is hooked to new 700R4 to allow this Chevy to cruise on interstate at low rpms.
Inside, this 56 sports allnew original color interior which was professionally done. New headliner, seat covers, carpet, all better than new. Original steering wheel replaced by 15" reproduction wheel for easier steering. New American Autowire panel and all new wiring. New electric wipers, power windows and new Classic Instruments instrument panel. New Vintage Air unit to keep the Chevy cool.
Outside, new paint in the factory original colors. Wet sanded and buffed to perfection. New weather stripping, new tinted glass, re-chromed bumpers and excellent trim. ( most trim is factory oem ). New head lights and park lights. 8" Rallys and BFG T/A radials finish off the outside of this gorgeous sedan.
This is one fine no excuses 56 built by a very particular builder who has been building cars for 40 years. A rare color 56 that you would be proud to own and drive to any show or cruise-in. Bid to win this awesome little Chevy.
