Up for sale we have a very original 1946 Chevy truck. I picked this truck up, along with another one like it, from an estate in western KS. I believe it to be a one owner, but am not positive. The number on the cowl is 3PW6-3873 and the vin on the title is DEA285961. I bought this truck in a package with some other vehicles in order to get the jeeps that I wanted. I have already sold the other '46.
This truck took nearly nothing to get running. I was told it had set approx. 2 years, we put some fresh gas in the tank, and put in a new battery, and it fired right up. This truck runs like a top. Pull out the choke, pump the pedal twice, and it's running in half a revolution. Amazing for a 70 year old vehicle. It will run down the road at 45-50 mph with no trouble, and the brakes work well, although sometimes you have to pump the pedal once to get full brakes. I spent an hour or two washing off the barn dust, and giving the truck a general cleaning. When I was done, I couldn't leave it alone andspent another hour or so with some cleaner wax. I just wanted to see the potential, andit looks very nice. The truck only has one small quarter size spot of rust on the bottom of drivers door, its in the pictures. The truck shines very well but please remember its 70 years old and has spots of surface rust, small dings, etc. If you want to go cruising or put it in a parade - your ready to go. If you want to win the car show - plan on a paint job. All the gauges work, windows go up and down, doors shut like new ones. We put a sheet over the seat for cruising around, but the seat needs reupholstered. It is all there, just ripped on driver side. The bed goes up and down and the tires are good. I will help with loading or however else I can. Please call or text Cort with any questions @ 620-786-5172.
