Finished in Madeira Maroon over a black interior, this 1965 Chevelle SS is a factory 138 code car with just over 80,000 original miles. This car is built as a factory style sleeper and straight gets after it around town when you mash the pedal.
Originally, the car came with a 327/300Hp, however, during the restoration, it was fitted with a 327/350Hp L79 warranty block! The casting date is F-8-4, so it's era correct for the Chevelle. The SS will smoke the tires with ease as you row through the gears using the factory style 4-speed shifter, and the posi rear end will keep you tracking as well as you are willing to let it. The motor has Edelbrock E Street heads, a Winters intake, electronic ignition, and cools via a high capacity aluminum radiator. Fuel and air meet in a properly tuned Holley carb which behaves well throughout the RPM range. The engine exhales through a set of long tube headers and a burly sounding dual aluminized exhaust system.
Open the door and you'll find a completely restored interior lined with all new seat covers, door panels, dash pad, headliner, package tray, and carpeting. Front and center you'll find the proper SS dash, with a Sun Tac on the column.
The exterior features a straight body with a beautiful and expertly finished Madeira Maroon base/clear paint job. On the body side, you'll find all new rubber and trim, and a lot of restored/and or rechromed trim. The glass is a combination of new and old and shows well. Look underneath, and you'll find a nicely detailed undercarriage, frame and suspension components that were restored while the car was off the frame.
For the Chevy enthusiast looking for something classy, timeless and fast, this Chevelle SS is the business.
