1997 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Silverado Description

1997 Chevrolet K2500 with 7.5' Hiniker plow. This is not your average plow truck!I am only the 2nd owner of this beautiful truck. The original owner was mygrandfather who purchased it brand new. Therewerenot 4 owners likeAutoCheck reports. Thetruck was in his CO-OP farm business until paid off then wasput in his name.It never left his possession, I have printed out a Carfax report for the new buyer that shows all of this.He farmed his entire lifeand got a new truck every 5 years. He loved this truck so much thatin 2001 when it came time to trade it in on his new one, he decided to just buy a plow for it and keep it! He was very particular on maintaining all of his equipment, including his trucks.I have a stack of receipts from the day he purchased this truck new, totaling over 15K just in the preventative maintenance he always had done!Just in the last year it has had a new transmission and "complete" new braking system. Not just a few lines replaced or something...EVERYTHING! Master cylinder back, every brake component. All work performed at our local Chevy Dealer (Country Chevrolet). Everything works in this truck right down to the A/C. He also ordered the truck to come with the sliding rear window. I guess just the straight glass was the usual in the 2500's.It has always slept in the shed every night. He definitely used the truck but kept exceptionally great care of it. I recently had the truck professionally undercoated. And NO, not to hide anything! there is absolutely no rot out in this truck at all! I decided to have it done to preserve this beautiful truck.Cab corners, inner and outer rockers are all in great shape. There isvery slight rust that started under both doors, under that rubber strip. Itook it in to a local shop here in town where they cleaned up the rust and applied an epoxy primer then touched up under there nicely. As for the plow, it has always been stored inside. It has the nice hand held power remote. At theend of the snowy season, he would always power wash and put a nice coat of polish on it before putting it away in the shed.It virtually still shows as new.It has never been left just sitting out in the elements. (I have the originalreceipt and manualfor it as well.)My grandparents lived about a quarter mile off the road. Soobviously they had a long lane! That is the only thing this plow hasever touched. It was never used anywhere else! So what I'm saying is, this truck was never used as strictlya plow truck for tons of accounts or anything like that. The truck is in fantastic shape and the paint is super smooth with no dents or no big scratches. I honestly can't say enough good things about it. It runs and shifts like a new one.It came with a factory towing package. It has a trailer brake control and the newer 7 pin style connector. Michelin tires are like new.If you love this GMT400 body style, it would be hard to find a nicer one!I purchased this truck from him with plans to move farther out into the country where I would need it. Plans have changed and I now need to let it go. If I cannot get the price out of this truck what I have in it......It won't break my heart if I have to keep it! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks and happy bidding.
