1969 Chevrolet C-10 Description

You want fresh? You've got it with this 1969 Chevy C10 pickup. With 1000 miles on the fresh 383 stroker motor and a show-quality paint job that still smells wet, they don't come any newer than this. It also helps that this one was built for Jeff Gordon's sheetmetal guy in their shop, and it is loaded with stuff like A/C, a gorgeous bucket seat interior, and a lot of style. If you're looking for a virtually new truck, they don't come much nicer than this. The color is a 1970 Corvette special order finish called Donnybrook Green, and it looks great on the rugged C10 bodywork. The investment in the sheetmetal is considerable given how spectacular the result looks, and the dedication that put this truck together shows in every single square inch of paint that went onto its flanks. Most of the sheetmetal is brand new, in fact, and we have photos of the truck going together in the pro shop where NASCAR stockers are skinned, so I'd figure they know a thing or two about getting it right. And thanks to the miracle of modern paints, it'll probably look this good for decades, with a depth and gloss you only see on high-end show cars. The cowl induction hood wears a pair of contrasting light green Z/28 stripes that continue on the tailgate, and the custom mirrors make the pickup look sleek. Add in a bunch of brightly polished stainless steel trim, and a fully finished bed with custom spray in bedliner and, well, you have one heck of a truck. The upgrades continue inside with high-back bucket seats wrapped in vinyl and ultra-suede so they're grippy and a bit racy. The original bench is gone, but the C10 wears buckets easily, which frees up a lot of space inside and each seat has its own pair of armrests so it's all-day comfortable. Custom gray door panels and black carpets add to the like new vibe, and sharp-eyed viewers will recognize that this is a rare model with factory A/C (now powered by modern Vintage Air components), which blows ice cold. A full array of Dolphin gauges are included, all with crisply rendered markings and clear lenses, so you know no detail was overlooked during the restoration. A Retro Sound AM/FM radio snuggles into the original dash and sounds great thanks to 40 years of entertainment technology. Looking for a truck you can drive cross-country without complaint? You've just found it.Part of that driving pleasure comes from the fresh 383 cubic inch stroker motor fitted between the fenders. It's based on a 4-bolt main block and fitted with an Eagle forged crank and rods, a Comp Cams camshaft, and a big Holley 4-barrel up top. Edelbrock supplied the aluminum cylinder heads and intake manifold, and there are GM Performance roller rockers up top. A giant Fluidyne aluminum radiator keeps it cool and beautiful Flowtech ceramic-coated headers feed a custom exhaust system with X-pipe and a pair of cut-outs for that true NASCAR soundtrack. As a frame-off, you know the chassis is just as nice with under 1000 miles on the restoration, with satin black componentry, a TCI TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears on a Posi. Gorgeous ION Detroit wheels complete the look, and wear staggered Nitto 17-inch performance radials, which fill the fenders thanks to that lowered stance.Don't call it a mere resto-mod, because the point was to make it feel like a new truck. They've succeeded in a big way, so all you have to do is call!
