1970 Chevrolet Camaro Description

Finished in Hugger Orange over a black and orange houndstooth interior, this 1970 Chevy Camaro Z/28 is the recipient of a 1 year old, show quality rotisserie restoration. Although the car was redone with some minor modifications, is retains its matching numbers engine, matching numbers transmission, and correct rear end.

Cosmetically, the car is clean as a whistle from top to bottom. It was stripped down to bare metal during the restoration and you could eat off the floor boards, any part of the engine compartment, and for that matter, any part of the trunk. You'll find that the majority of the nuts and bolts on the body have been replaced with shiny new hardware. Inspect the windows and you'll find that all of the glass is new. The stainless trim around the windows has been replaced as well and is in excellent condition and so is the chrome. Take a look at any of the body bushings and they are all new. The paint has an excellent color sanded finish and stripes that have been buried beneath the clear coat. The undercarriage was refinished in red oxide primer and is a thing of detailed beauty.

The engine in the Z/28 has the matching numbers block with the correct VIN matching stamp by the oil filter housing. The M22 rock crusher transmission also has the correct stamping which matches the last 6 of the VIN on the car. The rear end housing is date code correct for a May production car. Non-factory additions during the restoration to this engine include a Smokey Yunick SY1 intake, Pro Billet distributor, Hooker Comp headers, and electric exhaust dumps. The car makes great power, and you can go mild to wild with the exhaust dumps with a flick of a switch.

The brakes and suspension on the Z/28 have been completely rebuilt from front to rear. The car has all new brakes lines and hoses. The suspension received new bushings throughout, new tie rods, sway bar bushings, end links, and ball joints. The suspension feels tight, and it should will all of the new parts.

For the Camaro enthusiast looking for a stunning Z/28, you'll have a hard time finding a cleaner example.
