1970 Chevy C-10 Pickup
1970 Chevrolet C-10 Description
1970 C-10 Full Size Pickup. Original 307 Motor with 15,886 original miles. It was sold to me with the title showing these low miles, however, I cannot confirm. I purchased at an auction with the auction company advertising as original miles. The truck runs great and does not blow smoke or oil so I believe mileage to be accurate. It was originally a manual 3 speed column but was converted to the floor with a manual Hurst shifter.
The body is in great shape with the exception of drivers side door dent and also dent in drivers side box. I purchased it this way. Looks like someone scraped the side when turning to tight. There is a rust hole below the dent in the rocker panel. It is minor but would need to be addressed at some point. Other than that, the truck is solid all the way around with original paint. The engine has a Edelbrock intake with Edelbrock carburetor. The engine has headers with dual exhaust. It has a nice rumble to it. The ignition was converted from points to electronic with a Petronix system. The manual transmission is very tight and can chirp the tires in 2nd gear.
The gas tank was relocated to the rear under the bed which is much safer than behind the seat where the original was located. The gas gauge does not work. I assume when the tank was relocated, it was not rewired. The truck has manual drum brakes that work excellent. Parking brake works. The truck has power steering. The radio works but is not original. It is a radio/cassette model with two working speakers under the seat where the gas tank used to be located. The blower motor is not working. It was not working when I bought the truck and I have not had time to look into it. I am only selling the truck because I currently have two other project going.
The truck can be driven as is for many years to come if you like an original looking C-10 with a great patina or it is a great candidate to restore. It is being sold as is with no implied warranty.
