1968 Corvette Convertible 327 AUTO
1968 Chevrolet Corvette Description
Very nice condition 68 Vette Conv. Redone in 2007 with new top with no tears. Newer carpeting with no rips. Panels and dash have no tears or rips. Radio is an era replica and works fine. All gauges and even the clock all work. Top was replaced in 2007 and in near perfect shape. Power steering and manual brakes. Automatic transmission. 327 V8 with 300 hp).. Just had 3k in recent repairs Those repairs included new ERA SPECIFIC rebuilt carb. Brakes redone, repaired trans leak at the speedo cable, fresh oil change and distributor repair and new fuel pump. Suspension was redone in 2007. The paints shines very nicely with a couple of imperfections when redone (fiberglass tape on passenger door was not sanded well and you can see up close top of tape through the paint) On the front a wavy mark that looks like a run but have to know its there to see it. A little wear on the light cover Chrome bumpers on rear are new the front has some fade and lighter markings. Cross flag emblems are new. Taillights are new. Newer battery and alternator. Exhaust was done in 2007. Tires are like new and the wheel covers are decent with some markings Lights come up as they should. There are some issues with the car that do not prevent from driving. The wipers do not work. I am assuming a vacuum issue as the cover does go up and down from time to time on its own when driving. The passenger side window has a track issue. It does roll up but needs a little guiding. There is a small oil leak from the valve cover. The lamp lights on center console do not light up. The battery housing fiberglass area is cracked and I believe there is adhesive towards the front of that or a sealer. Cars has near 102k on odometer I purchased this car a few years ago from a classic car auction in Novi. IT was sold as numbers matching. The manifold number is 3919803 and does match a 1968 corvette 327 from a corvette forum I checked. The Quadra Jet is era specific. The VIN is 194678s406957. I could not find a number on the block so I am listing as possibly non matching. I am only selling to purchase another classic. I have several in my collection and want another and due to space I need to sell one. I do not need to sell this and have no problem keeping it. I do not need help selling this car. Auction may end at any time as car is being listed locally. 1000 deposit due within 24 hours. Shipping is the buyers responsibility.
