2015 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Hello!

I am offering for sale my 2015, Z51, 3LT, Corvette Stingray. I am not going to list all of the great features but you can see those on the window sticker.

The things I have done to make this car even better have been to replace some worn items. The car has almost 26,000 miles so I decided that I want the new owner to start fresh.

I'veinstalled4 new Michelin run flat Super Sport tires ($1600). These are the same type of tire that comes new with the car. I've installed a new windshield. The old windshield had several small rock chips and now it's perfect.

The front half of the car is coated with a plastic film. It's a thin film installed by Atlanta Protective films. It covers the entire hood, front bumper, headlights, both fenders, side panels under the doors, and the front of the outside rearview mirrors. It's a self-healing plastic that iswarrantedfor 5 years (please look at associated picture). That installation was $1500.

If you're an experienced Corvette Buyer, you may have heard about some transmission problems thatoccurred with the new 8-speed automatic transmission. At about 20,000 miles, mytransmission was not performing like new and so it was replaced by General Motors under the warranty program. Now it's perfect. The ride selector has 5 positions and in Track or Sport mode, the transmission will anticipatethe proper gear as your speed is reduced. It really isamazing.

As for the interior... it's great! I've treated this car like most Corvette owners do...with tender loving care. The only thing that is not perfect are two blemishes on the right front chrome wheel. When you look at the pictures, look for the blemishes. They are hard to see.

As for the Sunrise OrangeMetallic paint and Kalahari interior, Ithink it's great. I get so many compliments. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

I have also installed a custom engine hood liner. It is embroidered and not painted or airbrushed. It has all the Corvette Logos from the very first C1 to the new C7. It cost $900.

You are probably asking, "Why is he selling his car?" Well, I decided I wanted to get a new Z06. The Stingray has 460 horsepower and Z06 has 650 horsepower. I'm 65 years old and I've never driven a car with that much power! This is my chance! :-)

One thing I forgot to add is that I've also installed a radar detector. It's an Escort PassPort 2 Max with an LCD screen (screen color is adjustable). It is installed on a "Blendmount" that fits underneath the rearview mirror. It has a separate power wire that has been installed, just above the rearview mirror.

It also has a control mounted by the driver's right knee (please see picture). There is also a free App for your phone (android or iPhone) that allows you to control your radar detector as well as seeing what speeding activities have been happening in your driving area. There are also warnings for "red light cameras" andspeed trapsas reported by other users. It's a very good radar.

If you decide you do not want this item, Iwill reduce the "buy-it-now" price by $500. Then I will install it on my new car. But, I have to tell you, it's a great item to have on a Corvette!
