1986 ChevyG20van Explorer factory conversion interior with GMC heavy duty body
1986 Chevrolet G20 Van Description
From a non smoking non mechanical owner, bought in Calif just after the new engine was installed which is why the engine has low miles but the body has 54,590.it was bought as a second vehicle to use to travel and camp because it is great for long distance travel and camping very roomy. Not driven recently at all, owner will not be renewing the registration and so would like to sell it.Buyer should know it is sold as is and will need some mechanical work as it has been off the road. The buyer would need to put brakes, alternator, check a/c and some of the power windows stick- owner used it just as transportation from Calif to Michigan,it was originally from the midwest Explorer conversion factory and then it lived in Calif until 2001,has been in Michigan since then and very rarely used. has not been used at all for a few years. It has lots of interior reading/card playing lights a CB radio in the oak overhead and the seats have power adjusts, has hitch for a trailer and large rear windows,6 hinged doors, chrome bumpers, and an extra set of Chevy logo tires. It would look really nice with new exterior paint.Newer models just don't have chrome the way this one does.It is very quiet on the highway, a nice ride. Owner has gotten offers to sell the interior(captain's chairs and bench bed/seat,oak trim pieces) for parts but would rather possibly sell it to someone interested in restoring it. Owner had hoped to use it again for travel but has not and now would like to sell it.There are a lot of other features in the van conversion package that were never used (such as the hook up for a TV) and the working condition of those extras is not known. Buyer should know it is sold as is and understand it will need work. Thanks for reading about it, ask and I'll try to answer questions as best I can.
