The C7 Z06 is, to date the ultimate factory built Corvette. Utilizing the knowledge gained by racing (and winning) at LeMans, the Daytona 24 hours and Sebring 12 hours, Corvette engineers constructed the ultimate road-going Corvette that offered supercar-baiting performance at a fraction of the price of German or Italian exotics. Like the C6 Z06 before it, the C7 Z06 is virtually an entirely different car from the standard Corvette. Heavily revised suspension components accommodated massive 19 x 10 inch front and 20 x 12 inch rear wheels while the multi-function magnetic ride control tuned for more aggressive performance. Extensive use of carbon fiber and composite materials for the body work keep the weight under control and ensure proper balance and the body is suitably enhanced with dramatically flared fenders, additional scoops and vents, and finely honed aerodynamics.

The star of the show, however, is the 6.2 Liter LS4 V8 wearing Rotocast heads and a big Eaton-type Supercharger. This marvel of an engine produces a massive 650 horsepower and 650 ft/lbs of torque. Exhaust baffles keep the noise level down for touring, and open it up in sport and track mode for full-on audio effect.
