This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was built to do only one thing go fast! Nowhere on this supercharged coupe does it try to hide its speedy intentions, which means everyone will hide from you on the street and the strip.A first-year Camaro is a bold choice to turn into a pro-street custom build. Sure, they are small in size and light in weight. But they are also big in stature, so this is a valued classic that's now really showing off its wild side. The metallic blue is such a rich and deep color that it's a sure sign that this quarter-mile burner has never had to scrap it out on the back streets. Instead, it has the kind of shine that lets you know it wants to be seen even if it's lurking around at midnight. All the right first generation iconic pieces are in place such as the front air dam, D80 rear spoiler, and cowl hood. Of course we all see that big bright air grabber bursting out of the top, but we'll get into that in a moment. The rest of the brightwork is looking great from the thin wraparound bumpers to the Weld racing wheels with staggered tire sizes so you get an intimidating stance. The interior is civilized enough for street use, but the hardware is made for the track, which is the essence of pro-street. You know that the moment you open the door and step through the full roll cage that has been expertly welded to the body. The seats are modern racing buckets, which means you get bolstering that fully encompasses you like a good racer should. But because you're also going to be parking this at the cruise-ins, there's some nice flair with the alligator texture in the bolstering. This is a true competition machine, so no radio, heater, or A/C to zap the power from the Camaro. Instead, the whole interior is setup to keep you laser focused on the road ahead. You have a TCI Outlaw reverse lockout shifter, and a small-diameter sports wheel that works great with the power steering. Beyond that is a full custom panel filled with AutoMeter gauges. Not only do you get a large speedo and tach, but also there's a secondary panel so you can even keep an eye on your boost.Ok, we won't leave you in suspense any longer about the monster motor. It's a seriously stout 383 stroker small block V8 with some amazing performance upgrades. Not only does it have a BDS 671 supercharger, but also there's other go-fast goodies like aluminum heads, Moroso CV heavy duty plug wires, MagnaFuel fuel system, Champion aluminum radiator, and dual Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetors. A pair of headers feed the rumbling dual exhaust, that has a huge sound when getting into the power. This fantastic build looks so shiny and fresh, we almost want to believe the 2 miles on the odometer is this car's mileage (again, no proof, but man does the whole build look exceptionally fresh!) The TH350 three-speed automatic is stout enough for you to bang through the gears when you want compete control. This feeds a 12-bolt Mosler Positraction rear end, so you know the power reliably gets to the ground. Even the battery and fuel cell have been moved to the trunk for better traction. Also, don't forget to take a look at the undercarriage photos. There you will see a fully built suspension with a tubular A-arm front, four-link rear, and a reinforced frame to handle all the extra torque this Camaro brings to the streets. This custom build feels particularly sharp from behind the wheel thanks to features like the QA1 adjustable coilovers, Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brake package. There's plenty more to go over on this amazing pro-street Camaro.
