1949 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. Barn find! It's been sitting for the last 40+ years. Has a good amount of rust, but most of it looks like surface rust; seems to be a really solid project car. A large dent in the driver side door, a little damage in the rear passenger quarter panel, a large and medium sized dent in the driver side rear quarter panel, and several dents all over the car from daily use back in the day. There is rust on the drivers side door below the large dent, a small hole in the drivers side floor pan near the door, a small hole in the passenger side floor pan behind/to the right of the passenger seat, two holes on the battery tray, and both rear quarter panels in front of the rear tires are rusted out. One of the previous owners decided to cut holes/windows into the back panels, so those would need to repaired and filled in with new sheet metal to restore it to its original body style. The two vent windows (driver and passenger side) are broken. The rear window is missing. The driver side window appears to be there, but I can't get it to roll up (likely due to the large dent). The windshield seems to be in decent shape. All three doors open/close with minimal effort.
Interior is original, but in bad shape. Again, a good amount of rust. Missing several dash components, but most knobs and the original gauge cluster are there. The wood floor in the back is completely rotted out; it needs to be replaced. The entire interior needs love and would need to be restored.
It appears to have a period matching Chevy inline six cylinder engine, but I don't think it's original to the car. I never tried to start it; it needs work (no carb, most wires and hoses aren't hooked up). No transmission. The car will roll, but the brakes don't work.
No title, no known VIN (the VIN and body style plates likely rusted off years ago). I can provide a California Bill of Sale only.
