THIS TRUCK WAS PURCHASED STOCK AND BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP THE RIGHT WAY! TRUCK STILL HAS YET TO REALLY BE BROKEN IN! ONLY 500 MILES ON THE TIRES AND NEW GEARS
I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK NEW WITH 0 MILES FROM MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. TITLE IN HAND
I'M SURE IF YOU'RE IN THE MARKET FOR A LIFTED TRUCK THIS IS NOT YOUR FIRST STOP, WITH THAT BEING SAID I CAN BET NONE OF THESE TRUCKS WERE BUILT THE CORRECT WAY.. THERE IS ALOT THAT GOES INTO A BUILD WHEN DOING IT RIGHT.. FOR THE MOST PART DEALERS LIFT THESE TRUCKS WITH CHEAPER LIFTS, RIMS AND TIRES AND ADD 15K TO YOUR BILL.. THEY DON'T TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE TRUCK LOSES TONS OF HORSE POWER AND TOWING POWER- YOU GET TONS OF DRAG AND KILLS YOUR MPG'S AMONG MANY OTHER THINGS.
IF YOU WANT A LIFTED TRUCK WITH BIGGER TIRES I SUGGEST YOU DO YOURRESEARCH AND FIND OUT WHY A REGEAR IS SO IMPORTANT - I UNDERSTAND ITS VERY EXPENSIVE BUT WHY BUY A 50K TRUCK AND NOT DO IT RIGHT?
Why should you re-gear a lifted truck? When you buy a stock truck, the gears (gear ratio) are set to power the truck based on the stock products. When you put a suspension lift on your truck and add bigger tires, the gears of the truck are still set to power the stock tires. That means the gears have to work harder to make the tires move. If you are just upsizing to 33″ tires, you shouldn’t see a big difference in performance. But when you move from 31-33″ tires to 35"+ or bigger tires, you will notice a major slowdown in your acceleration. Not only that, it means that your engine (and gears) are working 10X harder to make your lifted truck move. Over time You end up killing your transmission, stripping your gears and the list goes on.
