Up for sale is my 1959 Chevrolet Parkwood wagon. My family and I have enjoyed this car for the past three years but the decision to purchase a investment property has led to the sale. I purchased the car from a friend in Denver who found the car here in Colorado. It has been a Colorado car its entire life which many of you know is a great place to preserve old steel. This car still holds on to all of its original red paint with awesome patina! The color of the top white accent was original but re sprayed and looks great!
After I purchased the car I hired Precision design in Denver Colorado to prefessionallyinstall a full air ride system that includes ride tech equipment as well as Accuair air management system including the Ilevel which is mounted nicely along the driver side A-piller. The Accuair makes the ride management perfect everytime with four corner air levelers installed. While at precision design we added all4 wheel BIG willwood brakes, new lines and master cylinder then topped it off with 20" Pentia INTRO wheelsand Nitto tires. These additions make the cara ton of fun to drive and handle like a dream
After getting the car back I installed a fully rebuilt 348 V8 backed by a Muncie 4 speedM-20 transmission. The rear end was gone through and a new ring and pinon 3:55 gear set wasadded.Add new exhaust and now the car sounds and runs great! There are probablyclose to 500 miles on the engine sinceinstalled andI have had 0 trouble withthe entire drive train.
The interioris fully refinished with allthe original accents. Black and Silver houndstooth interior along with the correct door panels, carpet and headliner are installed and all brand new beautiful. Thewindowsroll up and downnicely and the rear electric window works as well. Thereis a small stereo hidden in the ashtray the allows you to pluginto via headphone jack and listen to two nice speakers hidden nicely under the dash.
Now for the remainder that needs to be finished on the car.....The worst part of the car is the lower rear quarters. since the car is still in its original state I never touched them and they never bugged me at all. However I was planning on having a body shop do the lowers and blend thepaint to keep the very cool patina and originality! There is also a little rust starting to show along the front left corner (by headlight and turn signal) as well as the Right front corner (headlight) and can be seen in the pictures. Other than thosesmall spots this car issolid!
Im sure there is more that I am missing and I know that when this car is gone I will miss it greatly! I hope it finds a great home and the next owner appreciatesand enjoys it as much as I have. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call any time. 719-671-3395 Justin
