1995 Chevrolet Camaro Description

This is a 1995 Convertible Camaro that I built from a base model car that I did a complete drivetrain overhaul during my senior year of high school and I have been improving the car ever since. I'm sadly selling the car because I need more money for college and can't really afford to have a hotrod while living on campus. I loved building the car and working on it and it is a great car.

Drivetrain:

The motor is an LT1 pulled from a 1994 Corvette with many modifications such as: comp cam, scorpion rockers and springs, and port and polished heads. The motor was converted to carburation which gained horsepower, torque, and mileage. The engine now has a duel-plane aluminum performance intake, a Holley 650cfm carburetor, HEI distributor, and a Holley fuel pressure regulator. The engine produces a little over 400 horsepower at the flywheel (406hp) and after the Borg-Warner T-56 6-Speed transmission and an 4.10 Eaton Detroit Truetrac rear end, the housing is out of a 97 z28 and then re-geared, the car produces 367 rwhp. The car has Pace Setter longtube headers and a single 3" exhaust with a Glass-Pack muffler so it sounds great.

The engine has 14,xxx miles on it since rebuild, the transmission was rebuilt by A-Team Transmission less than 500 miles ago, the rearend also has less than 500 miles and the body has around 120,000 miles.

Suspension:

All 4 corners shocks and springs have been fully replaced with new stock suspension for a 97 z28, including bushings. This shocks and springs have less than 2000 miles on it. I recently added adjustable tubular rear control arms as well as an adjustable tubular panhard bar, these components have 500-700 miles of use.

Exterior:

The hood was custom made true cowl hood set up with an aluminium air box. I also have the stock hood that can go with the car. The paint is a 6 out of 10 but no large unsightly scratches, just small scratches from being in a garage without cover.

Interior:

The interior is great, the leather is conditioned regularly as well as the plastics being well maintained, the dash cover does have a molder pad on it from Eckler’s. The two fronts seats have small amounts of what I assume is paint on them from before I owned the vehicle and I have been unable to remove the stains. The driver's seat has typical wear but no rips. The car has a custom built dash with Speedometer and Tachometer from VDO and Oil pressure, Water Temperature, and voltmeter from Sunpro. It is equipped with a GPS Speedometer sending unit from Intellitronix so you’ll never have to worry about gearing or wheel diameter changes. The car has a custom sound system with a Sony head unit, Sony Xplode speakers up front and Pyle GearX speakers in the back and 2 12" Boss Subs with a 1400 watt amp in the trunk.

The Emergency Fuel and Ignition switches are all located in the center console with a cooling fan switch located below the dash. The car was equipped with a Kill switch which I have recently removed, I could reinstall if buyer wants it reinstalled.I have the original Tonneau covers that are in great condition and I also have the original carrying bag for them.

Wheels and Tires:

I currently have a set of black C6 rims, 17” in the front with 18” in the back and brand new tires. The front tires are 275/40R17 Nitto NT555 and the rear tires are 295/35R18 Nitto NT05 with less than 100 miles on them (and no burnouts). I also have a set of SS rims with new tires (less than 1,500 miles) that would come with the car.

I am open to (and encourage) people inquiring about the car. I will not pay for shipping
