2005 Chevrolet Astro Base Standard Cargo Van 3-Door Description

Up for auction is my two owner, 2005 Astro cargo van (four-wheel-drive). I purchased this vehicle from the state of Oregon Department of Transportation five years ago when the odometer hit 100,000 miles. Apparently, the state buys fleet vehicles and the moment they turn 100,000 miles they auction them off it locally or this case on eBay. When the van arrived I was absolutely shocked, most people would assume that a fleet vehicle would be damaged or heavily abused but in this case it appeared to be extraordinarily pampered. It was kept in an indoor heated garage and all services were done at the dealer while under warranty. There are no scratches, dents, or stains to speak of… The Van is in excellent condition. The only thing I’ve had to do is change the serpentine belt, AC compressor, and I just put a set of for all season tires on the van. There are probably less than 500 miles on the new tires (discount tire direct).

Due to the fact that I have an SUV and in the market for a four-wheel-drive pickup truck I no longer have use for this particular vehicle. This does have the tow package and one other quirky issue… The state disables the radio so that their employees cannot get distracted and cause accidents. I never had that fixed because I don’t generally listen to the radio in the car.

Those who don’t know, in Astro cargo van is different than a cargo van mostly in the fact that they came in a V-6 and are smaller than a standard cargo van. This particular model does have windows all around and one bench seat for passengers. This still leaves a considerable amount of rear room for transporting whatever you need. If the entire van is needed it takes a matter of one minute to take the bench out using the side door. This vehicle has been professionally detailed and kept clean each year that I’ve owned it and I do have a full-size cover specifically for this van that comes with the vehicle.

I’ve purchased and sold the number of vehicles on eBay successfully because I’m a big believer in feedback scores.
