1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SUPER SPORT Description

UP FOR AUCTION IS ONE OF THE NICEST 1967 SUPER SPORT CHEVELLE'S IN THE COUNTRY. NUT AND BOLT FRAME-OFF ROTISSERIERESTORED ON A SOUTHERN KENTUCKY 138 VINCAR. MATCHING NUMBERS BIG BLOCK 396 325 HP. ORIGINALLY A POWER GLIDE AUTO NOW A FRESH 400 TURBO AUTOMATIC. CAR HOUSES ITS ORIGINAL 12 BOLT REAR WITH 331 GEARS THAT HAS BEEN GONE THRU AS WELL. THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT UN TOUCHED DURING THE RESTORATION OF THIS CAR. THE MATCHING NUMBERS 396 WAS REBUILT ON A STOCK BORE BLOCK, BASICALLY JUST A FRESHEN UP. THIS ENGINE RUNS LIKE A NEW ONE AND HAS NEVER BEEN MISTREATED, VERY RARE TO FIND IN THESE CHEVELLE'S, MOST WERE DRAG RACED AND REPLACED. THE COMPLETE DRIVETRAIN IS FRESH AND LIKE NEW. I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 2007 WITH THE INTENTIONS OF A QUICK PAINT JOB AND JUST CRUISE IT BUT AS I GOT STARTED I JUST COULD NOT LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE. THE ONLY RUST I COULD FIND WAS IN THE REAR QUARTERS AND OUTER WHEEL HOUSES, SO I BOUGHT NEW FULL QUARTERS AND OUTER AND INNER WHEEL HOUSES JUST TO BE SAFE AND REPLACED THEM. THEN THE CAR SAT IN THE CORNER OF THE GARAGE FROM 2008 UNTIL 2014 WHEN WORK RESUMED ON THE CAR. I THEN TOOK THE CAR OFF THE FRAME AND PLACED IT ON A ROTISSERIE AND DONE THE CAR THE WAY I HAD LATER INTENDED AND THAT WAS TO MAKE A SHOW STOPPER OUT OF IT. SINCE IT WAS MATCHING NUMBERS AND WAS STILL WEARING ITS ORIGINAL COLOR OF TAHOE TURQUOISE CODE L L I JUST HAD TO MAKE IT AS PERFECT AS I COULD. THE BODY WAS STRIPPED TO BARE METAL AND THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR WAS STRIPPED AS WELL. THIS CAR WEARS ITS ORIGINAL BODY AS VERIFIED FROM THE HIDDEN VINS IN THE COWL AREA. I HAVE BEEN OVER EVERY INCH OF THIS CAR, BUMPER TO BUMPER TOP TO BOTTOM. I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH. THE ONLY RUST FOUND WAS WHAT I MENTIONED IN THE REAR QUARTERS AND WHEEL TUBS. I DID REPLACE THE REAR BODY MOUNTS JUST BECAUSE I WAS RIGHT THEREAND WANTED TO INSURE MYSELF. ALL NEW BODY MOUNT HARDWARE AND BUSHINGS, NEW FRONT AND REAR SPRINGS AND FRONT END SUSPENSION PARTS. ITS ALL NEW. ALL NEW DOOR HANDLES AND BUMPERS FRONT AND REAR. THE ORIGINAL WINDOW TRIM WAS SENT OUT AND PROFESSIONALLY BUFFED. I PAINTED THE CAR BODY COLOR UNDERNEATH BECAUSE I THINK IT JUST REALLY STANDS OUT AND IN THIS COLOR IT REALLY POPS. ITS BEAUTIFUL. THE PAINT AND PRODUCTS WERE ALL THE BEST PPG SELLS. I HAVE OVER $4000 IN JUST PAINT AND MATERIAL IN THIS CAR. WE BLOCK SANDED AND PAINTED THIS CAR AND I JUST WAS NOT IMPRESSED SO WE SANDED IT BACK DOWN AND I SENT IT OUT TO A LOCAL LONG TIME SHOP HERE IN TOWN AFTER WEEKS OF CONVINCING HIM TO PAINT THE CAR FOR ME AND I'M TELLING UTHIS THING IS LIKE A PIECE OF GLASS. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS A MILE DEEP. SMOOTH AND SLICK AND STRAIGHT DOWN THE SIDES.EVERYONE THAT KNOWS ME KNOWS I AM VERY PICKY OF MY CARS AND PAINT ESPECIALLY. THE INTERIOR IS ALL NEW, SEATS, CARPET, DOOR PANELS, HEADLINER, DASH TRIM ETC. NEW FRONT AND REAR TINTED GLASS. SIDE GLASS IS ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD SHAPE. ALL THE SHEET METAL ON THE CAR IS ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR WHAT I MENTIONED AND ALSO THE HOOD WAS REPLACED WITH A AMD HOOD. THE ORIGINAL HOOD HAD BEEN SAT ON AT ONE TIME OR SOMETHING AND JUST HAD TOO MUCH FILLER IN IT FOR ME TO TRY TO SAVE, PLUS THE FACT ONCE YOU HAVE THEM OUT IN 90 DEGREE HEAT THAT BODY FILLER WILL EXPAND LIKE A CONDOM ON PROM NIGHT. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL 14' STEEL WHEELS AND MAG CAPS BUT I PERSONALLY LIKE THE NEW 20 AND 18' AMERICANS ON THE CAR. THEY ARE BRAND NEW WITH LESS THAN 100 MILES ON THEM. BUYER CAN HAVE THEIR CHOICE OF THOSE WHEELS OR 15' RALLYS ON NEW BFG'S. THE EXHAUST WAS PROFESSIONALLY DONE WITH FLOWMASTER MUFFLERSFROM ONE OF THE BEST AROUND THE CINCY AREA AND I'M TELLING YOU IT SOUNDS AND LOOKS AWESOME. THE TRUNK WAS SPLATTERED IN AQUA TRUNK SPLATTER AND IT MATCHES WITH THE CAR REALLY NICE AND WAS CLEARED OVER WHEN COMPLETED. NEW TRUNK MAT AND 15' RALLY ARE IN THE TRUNK WITH JACK AND HARDWARE AS WELL. THE FRAME WAS SAND BLASTED AND PAINTED CHASIS BLACK, ALL SUSPENSION PARTS WAS BLASTED IN THE CABINET AND PAINTED AS WELL. NEW POLISHEDGAS TANK AND LINES, ALL NEW BRAKE LINES. NEW COIL SPRINGS FRONT AND BACK AND NEW SHOCKS.YOU CAN EAT OFF THE BOTTOM OF THIS CAR. CAR RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW WITH LESS THAN A 100 TEST MILES. I DO NOT DRIVE MY CARS ONCE THEY ARE DONE LIKE THIS JUST TOO PICKY. THIS CAR CAN BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE IF THAT'S WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO DO. ITS BEEN RUN AND I HAVE GONE BACK OVER THIS THING. THE DASH WAS REMOVED DURING RESTORATION AND RESTORED AS WELL. IT HAS THEORIGINAL T3WORKING HEADLAMPS.THE CAR HAS POWER STEERING ANDPOWER DICS BRAKES. FACTORY TILT WHEEL. PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED A 68 IMPALA CONSOLE WHICH I ELECTED TO LEAVE IN THE CAR AFTERSEVERAL DEBATES WITH MY HELPER AND SOME FRIENDS. I PERSONALLY LIKE THE BIGGER CONSOLE AND THE HORSESHOE SHIFTER, I THINK IT LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS IN THE CAR, IT REALLY LOOKS GOOD WHEN YOU ARE SITTING IN THE SEAT.THIS IS THE ONLY VARIANT FROM STOCK ON THE INSIDE AND OUT FOR THAT MATTER MINUS THE WHEELS. IF YOU ARETHE NEW OWNER AND WOULD RATHER HAVE THE STOCKCONSOLE YOU CAN CHANGE IT, IT WOULD BE NO TASK AT ALL. THE CAR IS ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS AND RUST FREE. THERE ARE NO PIMPLESOR BUBBLES AND THE PAINT IS PERFECT IN MY OPINION. THE FLOOR PANS AND TRUNK PAN ARE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AND ARE ALSO RUST FREE. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR.THE ODOMETER IS ORIGINAL AND WORKING AND THE MILES ARE CORRECT AT 98,XXX ACTUAL. THE TITLE STATES ACTUAL MILES AS WELL.TITLE IS FREE AND CLEAR AND HERE WITH ME. I HAVE COUNTLESS HOURS AND SEVERAL $$ IN THE CAR. MY ONLY REASON FOR THE SALE IS I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON A BUILDING PROJECT FOR A YEAR NOW AND IT IS COSTING ME A SMALL FORTUNE AND I AM ALMOST DONE BUT THE MOST EXPENSIVE PART IS HERE, PARKING LOT ETC. THIS IS NOT A FIRE SALE BUT WOULD LIKE TO SELL THE CAR TO FREE UP SOME $$.
