1958-1961 Corvette Chassis Complete
1961 Chevrolet Corvette Description
This running chassis was removed from under my 1961 Corvette that is destined to be a resto-mod with late model chassis and running gear. A video of the car running and driving can be seen at-
youtube.com/watch?v=GRT7gWV5Rsc
The engine is a pro-built '64 327 and includes aluminum heads with stainless valves and roller rockers, Edelbrock intake and carburetor, cam, new bearings, decked, balanced, etc. Engine has approximately 1000 miles since build.
The transmission is a close ratio '64 Borg Warner T10 4-spd with a Hurst shifter. The rear end is a 4:11 ratio positrac with the tall "P" on the housing.
The original hubcaps and Kelsey-Hayes wheels are included with low mileage radial tires.
The exhaust was new at the time of the engine build and a new gas tank is also included. I will also include the steering column, original intake manifold, aluminum water fill tank, stainless ignition cover, and other miscellaneous items taken off the chassis.
The frame is in good shape with the exception of the rear springs which need to be replaced and the traction bar mounts need to be rebuilt. The traction bars are not available.
