Up for sale is my 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with 70,150 original miles. This Camaro was purchased new (ordered in February of 82, delivered in May of 82) at R&J Chevrolet in New Kensington, PA at the sticker price of $11,670.74. I bought this car from the original owner, who used kept the car in a garage its whole life. He ordered it exactly the way he wanted it, and ordered it without air conditioning since he didn’t want to rob the engine of any more power. The Camaro was also Ziebart rust proofed when new, and the underside of the car is really clean. Included with the car are many service receipts from over the years, the 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Service manual, a 1982 Camaro dealer brochure, a car bra, and the original window sticker (laminated). Some of the options on this car include:
- LG4 - 5.0L 4bbl V8 engine (new fuel filter, breather filter, pcv valve)
- MX1 - 3-speed automatic transmission
- G80 - Limited Slip Differential
- A31 - Power windows
- AU3 - Power locks
- C49 -Rear window defroster
- 26C – FDD2 Dark blue custom cloth interior
- YE4 – AM/FM stereo with cassette& ERSS
- CD4 – Intermittent wiper system
- A01 – Tinted glass
- BX5 – Black roof drip molding
- TR9 – Auxiliary Lighting
- ‘Camaro’ front license plate installed at the dealership in 1982
- Rear window louvers that are metal, in great shape, and can be removed without issue
Overall this car presents itself well for being a 34 year old Camaro. It drives down the road straight, fires right up, and stops like it should. It also handles great. The tires have around 75% life left in them and they all match. It is not perfect, but would make a great car for someone who wants a reliable cruiser to take to shows. There are a few rust bubbles starting on the driver door and driver side quarter, and the lower stripes are not perfect. The interior is in great shape. The steering wheel leather isn’t torn on the top, but seems like it is just not as tight as it used to be. The gauges all work, as well as all the lights behind them. The radio works as it should, and the preset buttons still work! The headliner is perfect and doesn’t sag. The seats aren’t torn at all. Back seats look like they have never been used. Car comes with two sets of original keys.
More pictures can be taken upon request, and the vehicle can be inspected/ looked over by any potential buyer. The car is located in Allison Park, PA right off the PA Turnpike exit 39. I have the car listed locally too and I will have the right to remove the ad if the cars sells here. I am selling the 1982 Camaro AS-IS, with no warranty stated or implied. The vehicle is 34 years old, however, it operates exactly as it should and I wouldn’t be afraid to drive it anywhere. It has a clean title, and is registered as an Antique Vehicle in PA. I lost my winter storage space and I refuse to let a beautiful Camaro like this sit outside. In other words, it is priced to sell. I will also work with you if you need the car shipped, but the cost is on the buyer.
