1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Post Description

1969 Chevelle 2-Door Post. This car is a tough-looking head turner and has nice, driver quality paint with some minor scratches and chips. It is blue with black SS stripes.

This is an all-steel car, except for the fiberglass pin-on hood and fiberglass rear bumper. The hood has damage, including fiberglass separation, stress fractures, and chipped paint around the cowl (see pics). The windshield and rear glass are in great shape. The door and quarter windows are Lexan.

According to the DMV, this car was last titled in Ohio.Itlooks like it was campaigned as a Pro Street car until 2007. The frame was clearanced and boxed for a deep oil pan. It has Wilwood front disk brakes, drag shocks, Weld Drag Star wheels, and Mickey Thompson DOT tires. I believe it has been stored without the engine and transmission for several years.

The interior is all business with a 4 point roll cage, racing harnesses, fiberglass buckets, Auto Meter gauges, and black carpet. It has a powerglide shifter with a line lock button. The line lock solenoid is pictured. For safety, there is a driveshaft loop and cockpit fire extinguisher.

It has awell-built ladder bar rear suspension with a 12 bolt, posi-trac rear, Strange axles, and I believe it has 3.73:1 gears. It has a fuel cell, electric pump, braided lines, and fender-mounted fuel pressure gaugefor a fuel system. The trunk is also wired for dual batteries and has a cut-off switch.

The drivetrain pictured does not run- this is a rolling chassis. I installed a rebuildable powerglide transmission bolted to a 454 blockand #781 casting heads. It has a Milodon racing oil pan, ceramic-coated headers, aluminum valve covers, a Holley Strip Dominator intake, and Holley double-pumper and carb spacer. It was installed as a mock-up to check clearances. All parts pictured will be sold with the car.

There is rust in driver and passenger front floor pans. They both need patch panels (see pic of driver side undercarriage). The car does not have a radiator. This is a solid carwith a clear Texas title andcould get back on the street easily. I'm cleaning out my shop and need space. This car is sold as-is, where-is. Bid to win!
