The unused 17” spare wheel carries a tire embossed ‘not for sale’ and like the jack carries a CPC Engineering sticker. EX4607 now has 66,300 miles recorded and drives beautifully. It has the ‘impossible’ combination of 17” wheels, 13” heavy duty brakes with TH700 R4 automatic transmission. It now runs Kumho Ecsta 275/40 ZR17 on the unique prototype 17” rims, the front brake discs are still the original prototype units, and all the original prototype zero-scrub forged aluminum suspension is in place and properly aligned. The engine is smooth and powerful, the air conditioning is cold, the Bose radio and cassette and all speakers and amps working too. EX4607 is an important piece of Corvette history, and the key vehicle in the first major upgrade of the C4 To earn the prestigious NCRS American Heritage Award, in 2011 Tom shipped EX4607 to Wildwood NJ for the Spring Regional for preliminaryassessment by NCRS judges. After a day of rigorous examination by the C4 Judging Team, EX4607 was accepted for the American Heritage Judging at the Novi MichiganNationals. Tom Falconer drove it there on the NCRS Road Tour from Boston, on UK plates, a completely trouble-free 900 mile drive, despite daily temperatures in the 90s After further examination at Novi in July 201, EX4607 duly collected the prestigious NCRS Award as a significantand important part of Corvette history .
