1967 Chevrolet C-10 C10 Description

This is a 1967 Chevrolet C10 truck. It is a short wheelbase with a step side bed. It is a driver as of right now, the tags were just removed from it Saturday when the decision to sell it was made. It is a verrrry unique truck to say the least. I guess it would fall into the Rat Rod and shop truck categories.

The engine is a 305 small block Chevy from the early 80's. The engine has a two barrel carburetor, HEI distributor and headers and pulls the truck down the road at highway speeds with ease. Does not run hot and starts as it should. The transmission is a TH350 automatic with no issues.

The truck has power drum brakes all the way around. Also has power steering. I believe the rearend is a posi trac unit the way it hooks when it goes. The lights work, wipers work and turn signals work. The heater even works.

The interior has a set of bucket seats, nothing fancy. It has a dash cover and carpet. The floor does need some work, but don't all of these trucks.

The body and exterior appearance is,,,, well,, different. Yes, that is a MACK bulldog on the hood. Yes, those are functioning stacks on the side. Yes, that is a custom made bumper from an over the road truck and yes,,,, that is a rail road sign acting as a spoiler on the bed cover. As i said,, RAT ROD..

The tires are in good condition,, sorry, only three are whitewall design. All done and said, this is a truck that marches to the beat of a different drummer. You would for sure be one of one at the next event you go to and you could also drive it while you were changing it to whatever style suits you. Is it a unrestored classic,, no. Is it a tire shredding street racer,, no. Is it a concourse class winner at the Pebble Beach muckity muck show,, oh hell no.. It is just an old beater that you can drive the piss out of and enjoy, if it gets a scratch or ding,, so what,, it has plenty of those already.

The truck has had some poor body work, it needs some more body work and has rust and dents,,, it is an old Chevy after all. It exudes CHARACTER.... Remeber the Car Craft magazine campaign years and years ago,, "Dare to be Different",,, well,, I dare you...
