1969 Chevrolet Camaro Description

I have had this car for 9+ years and it has been stored in a heated garage that entire time. I purchased it from I believe the 2nd owner who had stored it indoors for 22 years. The modifications were done prior to my ownership. I have some receipts but missing most. Information in this ad is from the prior owner or what I can see. I recommend viewing in person prior to purchasing or asking questions and requesting specific pictures prior to bidding.
Car started as a base Camaro with a 307. Back in the late 80's when the GM sheet-metal was still available, the front fenders, roll pan, radiator support and other items were purchased. The car shows no rust and was painted yellow with Dupont products and the paint job is driver quality. I'm a little picky so some may say it is better than average. It would look better if sanded and buffed. The trunk is black primer and spoiler is white plastic and both appear to be a new pieces. Yellow metal cowl hood has some scroll work painted on it. The included fiberglass cowl hood is in black primer.
Modifications were done and new parts installed but the car was never put on the road since that started in the late 80's. The paintwork was done last. I will list what was done and what I know/ was told about it:
  • Engine compartment and frame is painted a gloss black but is very dusty and pics don't show it as nice as it is.
  • Rear quarter top of the wheel opening was stretched to better fit the larger tires.
  • Control arms are chrome. Cleaned left lower for 30 seconds to show what could look like. Years of dirt on them.
  • Disc brake shields are chrome, new rotors, calipers, pads
  • Cage with swing out door bars installed with some gussetts. Some speed/ chassis shop in Illinois did the work.
  • Race seats with adjustable sliders, have other seat cover in the box somewhere. Interior is nice.
  • Battery box in trunk with exterior shut off.Professionally done.
  • 20 gallon fuel cell with frame work and braided lines. Professionally done.
  • Wheel tubs and misc. sheet-metal workinstalled by the IL speed shop.
  • 4-Link with track bar installed by the IL speed shop.
  • Chassis Engineering coil over rear shocks with 130lb springsinstalled by the IL speed shop.
  • DANA 60 with 4:88 gears & Moser 35 spline axles. Don't remember if it has a spool or locker.
  • Frame connectorsinstalled by the IL speed shop.
  • Centerline rims installed with skinny fronts and 31X18.5 rears. Mickey Thompson tires still have the nibs on them. There is still at least 3 inches in the tubs to go wider if desired.
  • Grant steering wheel and I do have the center cap/ button.
  • Large NOS bottle and line installed.
I have some miscellaneous parts that go with the car. Car has manual trans pedals in it. This is a very solid car to finish. What has been done has been done right and the quality shows. Car needs cleaning due to sitting around for several years. Pictures show dirt splattered on suspension and underside but cleans off easily. Front and rear windows are just set in. As you can see the car is NOT finished but is well on it's way. Install an engine and trans and a few other items and drive. Was going to install a 496 auto but you can choose whatever you like.I am selling my cars and parts to make way for a new direction, don't have the time to devote to this.
Thanks for looking an good luck.
