1966 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description

Hi. I need to part with my 1966 Chevy C20 (3/4 Ton) fleet side pickup 3 speed.

I’ve moved (with the aid of the truck of course) and I do not have the room to keep it. Yes it has dings, dent and rust. Look at all the photos.

I bought the truck about 10 years ago and it’s been a loyal work truck while I remodeled my home over the 10 year period. It’s been great for short trips hauling all that stuff you’re happy you have a full sized pickup for. The wood bed is getting rough and it has some holes.

I’ve put on about 2,500 miles on it since I bought it.

When I bought it I replaced the brakes and brake lines, added a brake booster, removed the behind the seat gas tank and added a new one under the bed. I bought a new wiring harness but I messed something up because there is a drain on the battery so I disconnect it when it’s parked. The directionals work but you need to hold the lever down or up. I think this can be fixed. I also replaced the exhaust but it’s got some rust on it now. I got new seat foam and cover but it sits a little high because I bought too dense of a chunk of foam. I have new front fenders, rockers and cab corners. I added new door seals but the glue didn’t hold so those are on the floor. The window channels or original and the windows need help going up and down. Windshield has a crack in it and a couple rock chips.

The engine is a 350 that’s not original. It starts and runs well. The suspension has some bounce now so that should be looked at. No seat belts. I removed the heater vents when I painted the inside and never put it back. I have a bit of coolant leaking into the cap from the heater core. I haven’t looked into that. The steering wheel comes loose so I keep the horn button off so I can tighten it when driving. The biggest thing is the rear gearing. It’s great for pulling out stumps I guess but it really doesn’t do much for the top speed, which is about 50mph, and I only run it that “fast” for a few miles. My throat will start to burn a little if I drive it too long so I have a few leaks in firewall. So I recommend trailering it unless you live near by.

Tires are good. The mirrors vibrate out of wack. The bed cover need to be adjusted, it’s not latching at the moment. This is a work truck, some might even say it’s a P.O.S. I might agree but I love it anyway. I’ve it described it honestly and my starting price is fair.Just want it to go to a good home. If I think of anything else I’ll add it below. Thanks for looking.

I have more picture I can send. I maxed out my listing.
