1995 Chevrolet Impala Impala SS Description

I purchased this car new on 5/5/95 and have been the sole driver since. It now has just a little over 60,000 miles. If you are reading this you already know about these machines with their LT1 engines, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, Positraction rear ends, deCarbon shocks and 17 inch wheels with Z-rated 255-50R17 performance tires. These rear wheel drive Impala SS’s were “hot ships” in their day and still offer impressive performance even now, 21 years later. In the mid-90’s these cars were the vehicle of choice for professional athletes and Hollywood entertainers.
The car is black (the most popular color) with a gray leather interior. The paint and interior leather are in excellent condition. I’m still amazed by how shiny the paint is. The driver’s side carpet does show some wear commensurate with the mileage. The remaining carpet looks new. This is a car that generates comments wherever I go – from people at filling stations to valets at hotels and restaurants. If you don’t like attention, this car is not for you.

Security/Durability Upgrades:•All lug nuts are Gorilla brand custom keyed locks•The soft factory exhaust manifold bolts that are known to break have been replaced with Grade 8 hardened steel bolts•Problematic plastic window regulator slides that cause window malfunctions have been replaced with nylon rollers on all windows•New battery 3/17/16 – warrantied for free replacement till 3/17/19.•New oil cooler lines – 4/18/16.
The car starts up immediately and runs beautifully. The tires have about 50% tread remaining. This car has been used as a daily driver and not raced or auto-crossed.
We are selling this car because we have no more room to park all of our vehicles on our property. So, some of our vehicles have to go if we intend to purchase anything else. I have two other vehicles listed for sale here as well.
Included with the car are the original bill of sale, window sticker, owner’s manuals, factory original air induction components, two sets of keys and promotional material that I’ve collected over the years.
I’ve attempted to describe the car as accurately as possible. Be mindful that this is not a “brand new, off the showroom floor” vehicle but one that was carefully driven and exceptionally well maintained over the years. As is common with vehicles this age, there is no warranty expressed or implied.
