Quality Pre-Owned Vehicles That Are Fun To Buy!

If you have been looking for a unique opportunity to get into racing or don’t mind a bit of a challenge, then check out this one owner 2002 Corvette Z06! I came across a situation where an older gentleman was getting out of Auto Cross competition and was able to purchase everything out of his garage including this Z06 coupe that he purchased brand new! I have the original Florida title! And by the way, if you like challenges, you can check out my other listing on the fellows 86 Corvette convertible auto cross project!

To set this up for you, let me explain his situation. This was not some backyard hack shop. This fellow lived in a very high end, country club style community in a half a million dollar plus home. Worked out of his garage and this was his hobby for many years. Well, the years caught up with him and his is simply not able to auto cross anymore. A very nice gentleman, it was a little sad to see him have to get out of what he loved so much! Anyway, I purchased it all and hauled everything out of his garage. His wife had a big smile on her face! I put everything together in two separate listings, this 2002 Z06 and the above mentioned 86 Vette convertible.

Let’s talk about the Z06. As I said, he purchased the car brand new in November 2001 and he told me it had low miles. So I hooked up the instrument cluster and just 22,870 miles!!! See the pictures! And the title will show that as actual miles! Anyway, his goal was to modify the Z06 for autocross and as you can see, made quite a bit of progress before he had to give it up. He wanted to lighten it as much as possible and add the goodies needed to really enjoy the hobby. Hey, if it were me, I would have left it pretty much stock, but this guy had more money then sense so who am I to question what does with it! Anyway, to put this back on the street would take a bit of an undertaking, but could be done. I do believe all the major components are there like the original seats, dashboard, interior components, etc. as you can see in the pictures. I found a lot of numbered tags/markings on parts, etc. and there are service manuals to guide you, but no guarantees that every clip, nut and bolt are present. I tried to picture everything included as best I can so you can see what is all there.

Lot’s of potential here!!! It will take a bit to get it going to be street legal, but if you are wanting to race it, not much. I do have limited time for the storage and it needs to be up and gone by the first part of December. Please look over all the pictures to see what is here. I would request you just ask important questions that are relevant to you purchasing or not. I have about a 45 minute drive to where its all stored in Naples and I really don’t have time to answer “looky loo” or dreamers questions. Thank you for your understanding!!! Selling it “as is” and PLEASE only bid if you are a serious buyer. No sense wasting all of our time! This will be sold as ‘title only", obviously no registration or tag will be issued by my dealership and it cannot be driven as it is! Better to come pick it up with a flat bed, but if you want to arrange some sort of shipping, I will do my best to load all the parts into the car. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding!!

Be sure to look over all the pictures below with descriptions. I have quite a few of them!! This will give you an excellent overview to help with your decision. PLEASE feel free to call me directly on my cell phone with any questions at all. You can reach me @ 239-940-4170. I want you to be completely comfortable with your transaction and enjoy the whole experience!
Actual Miles!

I do have the other muffler, you will see it in the pictures.

In the process of removing the air conditioning and other components for weight reduction, he removed the water pump and this is right when he stopped any more work on his cars. Probably wanted to run an electric water pump. The motor does start right up and runs very well! I started it for just a few seconds to be sure and it sounds wonderful!!! Also, the oil is clean with no signs of any problems or issues.

Both door panels are still attached.
He pretty much gutted everything else.

6-speed transmission!

I am SO glad this guy kept all these original interior parts and components! Especially the original Z06 leather seats. Looks like he was planning on using racing seats, but never got to it.

Couple extra wheels and tires along with the manuals.

The very important Z06 dash cluster and heads up!

Well, that’s the car! Average retail from KBB to NADA runs from 20-24k, so there is a lot of upside on this project. Thank you for your interest!

Bidding/Buying Policies

  • The advertised vehicle will be described as accurately as I can, but remember these are used vehicles, they will show signs as such. As stated before, each offering is checked over and inspected before selling, but you are not bidding on nor am I selling new or high priced certified pre-owned cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that are not like new. Depending on the age of the vehicle, the various systems involved will be at different levels of wear/service life and there may be the typical small chips/dings, blems and other signs of normal wear, inside and out, that you would expect on used vehicles. Obviously, I cannot possibly show or detail every little thing that would be on any used car. I will do my best to describe all the major things so you are clear on what you are buying, but I encourage you to call with any questions you may have before bidding. I want you to be well informed! You can always get ahold of me on my cell @ 239-940-4170. I will be more than glad to walk around the car while on the phone and describe everything I see to give you a hands on view. PLEASE READ MY FEEDBACK! It speaks volumes of how I do business! Of course, all vehicles are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied unless there is any remaining factory warranty. Cars are mechanical things and mechanical things can stop working! Especially electrical components. Like a light bulb, they can work perfectly, than all of a sudden, not! I am not responsible for check engine, service or other indicator lights or what ever else may stop working after you purchase. I have made all my history statements based on information readily available to me and cannot warrant or guarantee the information or statements as such. Also, there may or may not be extra keys, manuals, remote fobs or other accessories. If not pictured, it's probably not there.
  • I ask that all successful bidders please contact me within 24 hours of auction end to begin process of completing the sale.
  • Customer is responsible to obtain their own insurance on any vehicle purchased. Insurance is provided by the transport company for all vehicles during shipping, but my insurance ceases to cover anything once it is sold. Sold being described as when funds are received in full, not at the time the vehicle is delivered.
  • According to Federal guidelines, all vehicles 10 or more years old are sold exempt from mileage guarantees unless specifically mentioned. If I have documentation to back up the mileage on these older cars, I will.
  • Payment must be made by cash-in-person, cashiers check, money order or bank to bank wire transfer. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be expected within 3-5 days following close of auction and remainder paid within 7-10 days. If you have a special situation, please feel free to call ahead of time to discuss. I am very easy to deal with!
  • Florida residents must include 6% sales tax. According to Florida law, if an out of state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the state of Florida I am obligated as a licensed dealer to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchasers state sales tax and not to exceed 6%. The purchaser will then be given a notarized form from the State of Florida proving tax paid to present to their tax collectors office for sales tax credit. You DO NOT pay sales tax twice! Any additional fees or taxes will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida.
  • Buyer assumes the cost and responsibility of shipping. I already have contacts to ship the vehicle anywhere in the USA, so I can help arrange this for you and give you cost estimate ahead of time. If you are going to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the Ft. Myers International Airport and provide you with a free 30 day temporary plate for your vehicle. You must have insurance before a temporary plate can be issued. Temporary plates are not provided for vehicles shipped, only ones picked up in person.
  • All vehicles do have clear titles and are guaranteed to be clean and free of any liens or brands such as salvage or rebuilt. Occasionally, a title will be in transit from the bank or dealership because of a loan payoff and may not be in my immediate possession, but will be processed to you as soon as physically possible.
  • Any buyer with a negative rating will be ignored unless he contacts me first with a good explanation. There is no sense in running up the prices by people who have problems following through with commitments. Remember you are entering into a legally binding contract.
  • By the bidding and/or purchase of this vehicle, buyer obligates him or her self to agree with all guidelines and statements made on this auction page by the seller including "as-is" no warranty statements, sales tax regulations, and insurance requirements.

  • My promise to you is to be as fair, honest and helpful as possible. I have been in the car business for a long time and have enjoyed much success here locally and selling on E-Bay. That did not come about by mistreating my customers or underhanded dealings. Give me a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. You can e-mail me with any questions or feel free to give me a call on my mobile phone @ 239-940-4170. Thank you again!
