2000 Chevy K2500 5.7 Ext. Cab SB 42.8K, 4X4, Really Clean

For auction is a 2000 Chevrolet C/K 2500 Extended Cab 4x4 pickup truck with just under 42,800 miles on it (mileage may rise slightly if I drive it before it is sold) . It is a great looking truck that you will be proud to park in your driveway and a strong running truck you will feel good driving down the road in.

Mechanically the truck is in great shape. The 5.7L V8 MPI engine starts right up, idles at specifications, and drives with no abnormal indications. I see no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exhaust. On the drive the acceleration is strong the front end is tight and pleasing and the track is true and straight. The automatic overdrive transmission shifts on point thru the gears and the 4x4 transfer case engages firmly with no unusual sounds. The air conditioner works quietly producing excellent cooling throughout. The brakes stop the truck with no pull or shudder. The parking brake functions properly and the brake cable looks to be in very good shape. The cruise control, power locks, electronics, original sound system, and safety features all function properly.

All lenses, trim and moldings are clean and straight. The paint finish still has a good high gloss. The tinted glass is all good and the windshield is clear and clean with no stone bruises, cracks or wiper marks. The front tires look new and the rear tires have more than ample tread mounted on the original factory rims with all trim rings and center caps present showing no curb or road rash. The spare and all jacking hardware are present and stowed properly. The interior is as neat and clean with no torn driver side seat as is common in Chevy trucks. The dash has no degradation or sun fade, the headliner is clean and tight with no sagging of the material, the upholstery is like new and the rear seat does not look like it has ever been used. It seems it was not smoked in as there is no odor and ashtrays are clean. The cap is in great shape too.

This truck has some minimal cosmetic imperfections, dings, dimples, chips, and scuffs as might be expected on a working truck. The rear bumper looks like it was backed into a pole at some point. There are just a few spots of surface corrosion just starting which could be cleaned up and repainted. There is some underbody corrosion starting but much less than any other 2000 vehicle you might find. It looks like some work has been done on the bumpers and by the front driver’s lower fender. Front bumper frame has some welding but it is solid. The cap’s right rear hatch latch does need to be replaced. I have tried my best to accurately describe this truck so if there is something else wrong with it I either didn’t realize or notice it. As such though it is being sold as is.

Please keep in mind vehicles of this vintage in this condition with such low mileage are almost non-existent. Don’t miss this opportunity to own this ''needle in the haystack'' find, don’t let it get away as you may never find another like it.
