... lots more
I have had this Tahoe since 2009 - bought it with only 64,000kms on it. It was babied and looked new when I got it. I have done my best to keep it that way, save a few scratches on the paint, the interior is in excellent condition & smells nice too. It has only ever towed a small tent trailer & has had a canoe or a 10' fishing boat on the roof from time to time. Other then that, I've hauled my kids, wood, drywall, rocks, you name it in this beauty & I really do hate to let it go. We've had this truck in the mountains more then I can count & have slept in the back dozens of times while on the road (no tent needed - fits a queens size air mattress in the back with the seats folded up). Unfortunately, it is time to let it go...
A brief history of maintenance...
New battery (this year)
Coolant was flushed two years ago
The intake manifold gaskets have been replaced as I read the originals get weak & can leak coolant into the cylinders - not this truck.
The fuel injection system has been updated to the electronic direct to cylinder version (fuel spider) - factory recommended update.
The plugs, wires, cap & rotor are all done (3 years ago).
The oil & filter has always been changed before 5000kms & all 11 grease points always attended to at the same time.
The rotors were replaced 4 years ago & the brake pads were done again this year.
All of the axle universal joints have been replaced this year.
The shocks are only 4 years old.
The tires on it are 75% and are proper AT M+S rated.
The starter motor was replaced 5 years ago.
The fuel pump was replaced last year.
All of the filters, cabin, fuel, engine are new.
The transmission fluid was flushed two years ago.
Yeah, like I said, I've done everything to this truck & I expect it to last past 400,000km
The bad..
The passenger side mirror is cracked (electric adjustment still works) ($50 on ebay to replace glass) I've replace it once before but some $h!t was going around smashing mirrors where I live so I haven't bothered to replace it the last time it happened.
The air conditioning no longer works. I believe it may just need a recharge. Wasn't high on my priority list so I never bothered. Stopped 2 years ago.
The drivers side heated seat doesn't work (passenger side does & well) - Easily fixed at Visions for $200 if that's important to you.
Small patch of rust on rear bumper center & the drivers door just started the year, but its minor. Original owner had this thing undercoated & it made a huge difference over the years.
That's it - seriously.
Come take a look - this one will sell fast
PS - if you cant get past the color #1, you'll never have to wash this as it hides the dirt like nothing else (unless you want to keep it shiney like I have) #2, I have a vehicle wrap shop & will give you a deal on changing it to whatever color you want.
