1947 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3600 Description

As seen from the first photo, this truck was complete and driven into the shop for disassembly. The frame was stripped, professionally blasted and painted in epoxy primer. The frame has the typical pitting for a truck of this year and a small section where the gas tank was mounted had to be repaired before painting. The front end has new kingpins and wheel cylinders installed. 80% of the front end is complete. I also have new wheel bearings and master cylinder ready for install. The original 216 Engine and transmission are working but should be rebuilt. I purchased a replacement 235 engine and 4 speed trans to put in it's place. Both engines go with the truck. The bed has extensive rust and will need to be rebuild. I believe the side walls should be ok but the stake holders, front section and tailgate will need to be replaced. The cab is in descent shape but has rust in the cab corners, foot boards and window channels. This truck is a project that will need attention in all areas. The good part about this project is that the worst part is over, "Frame Cleaning and Blasting". The process to clean, blast and paint a frame like this will cost you over $1000.00. That's if you do the cleaning yourself. The interior will need to be replaced.
