1998 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Description

Up for sale is my 1998 Chevrolet K1500. I purchased the truck from the best friend of the original owner, both passionate about cars and who maintained this truck to the highest degree, a trend I have followed in my ownership. Paperwork includes original window sticker showing original purchase price of $21,090, owner's manual,etc. This is a vehicle that turns heads and starts conversations as there aren't many left in this condition. Stored indoors year roun, driven in nice weather. The truck has always been maintained without hesitation including regular washes, waxes, oil changes, etc. Prior to my purchase, this truck was serviced at the same dealer in Millersburg, Pa, always utilizing GM quality parts. Some recent routine maintenance includes the fitting of AC Delco HD shock absorbers (Nov 2015), AC Delco Professional stainless steel fuel filter (Jan 2016), Direct-Fit OEM grade stainless steel muffler (Jan 2016), fresh oil change utilizing Pennzoil oil and AC Delco Professional oil filter (Feb 2016), etc. Mechanically this Chevrolet is a very solid driver. The engine runs with great oil pressure, no unusual noises, or smoke. The 5 speed manual transmission is crisp with a smooth clutch engagement. Four wheel drive engages with no hesitation and works as expected. Cosmetically, the truck speaks for itself and presents well with a deep shine to its Medium Blue-Green paint. This is a beautiful color that looks blue or green depending on the lighting and is very unique. However, it is not perfect with some minor scratches and dings as to be expected with a vehicle that is 15+ years old. The underside of this truck presents much like the outer body and is in great shape with the factory undercoating in place on the chassis. The interior is in excellent shape with no major damage and only light normal wear. Seats and carpet look nearly new with carpet being protected by molded direct fit husky floor liners. All lights including headlights, horn, wipers, and heater systems work as they should. Windows all operate as they should. Tires are evenly worn and have approx 80% life left. I have never hesitated to take this truck anywhere and is my daily driver when the weather is nice so miles may go up depending on weather. However, I have another truck and cannot justify keeping both. Overall this truck is great vehicle and would make an excellent summer cruiser or Daily driver.

This truck is in great shape for a vehicle of its age but is not perfect. One item to note is that the internal structure of the catalytic converter makes some noise but does not affect the function or ability to drive the truck. In addition to this, the aftermarket radio head unit currently fitted to the truck will be removed upon sale and replaced with the fully functional factory unit. This aftermarket unit was professionally installed with no harness wires cut and no dashboard alterations.
