Chevrolet El Camino
1982 Chevrolet El Camino Description
Texas made, California car. Just shipped the car to Maryland a few months ago. Have to sell to help out family or I would never get rid of this car. Surface rust so will need new paint. Frame is solid, so is the floor. Car has never been driven in bad weather. The car is navy blue but looks purple and sometimes black depending on how the sun hits it. Turns heads everywhere I go. Planned on getting it painted, new seat covers and new carpet next month and she would be ready to go but life happens and I need the money to help my family.
ProsRecently done fuel injection (previous owner)New Spark plugs and WiresNew Distributor cap and coilNew Carburetor ( Needs installation) I was quoted $150 by a local shop before trying to install myself so it should be less then that for you since I already took the old one off and started to install the new one just didn't finish. Car sold as is.New edelbrock 1406 carburetor and air cleaner with Crome cover
ConsNeeds radioSmall body damage above driver door. ( see pictures)Car was running fine then started having issues. I was told that it may be the carburetor but I should replace spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and cool first. (All replaced by auto shop) found out it does need a carburetor so I removed the old carburetor and purchased a new 1406 edelbrock carburetor. I started installing it but didn't finish. Also while trying to install the battery died. But it's a new battery only A few weeks old so it just needs a charge. Also small exhaust leak.
