1979 Chevrolet C-10 N/A Description

Hello. You are bidding on a 1979 Chevy Cheyenne 4X4short bedpickup with 141k original miles. It was originally sold new in Fremont, California and has spent its entire life on the West Coast.I still havethe original build sheet.

Condition is as follows:

Body:

Never a major accident, no bondo, all original GM body panels, tired original paint, minor dings/dents, doors open and close good. Window and door regulators work good, glass is good. The only rust through is the bottom of each front fender and one area of the bed floor to the left of the tailgate. These spots can be seen in the pictures. Everywhere else is solid, any other rust is surface. Cab corners, rocker panels, floors, doors, window frames, and bed sides are nice and solid. As you can see in theunderbody pictures, other than some mud, thistruck is verysolid and absolutely not a rust bucket.

Interior:

Tired driver condition as you can see, but mostly original and complete.Serviceable as is. Stereo was removed by previous owner.

Drivetrain:

Runs, drives, and stops well. Excellent brake pedal, drives down the road straight, and fires up every time. Runs and shiftswell and 4WD works good too.Tireshave good tread. Has replacement Edelbrock intake manifold.Smog pump/rails are removed and plugged. Everything else under the hood remains stock. I still have the factory intake and smog equipment that will come with the truck. Brake, headlamp/high/low and turn signal and marker lights all in working order.

Needs: Work on the a/c. System is sealed and may just need a charge, but the a/c clutch is bad. Also, the transmission is slow going into reverse. Reverse works fine if you tickle the throttle, but slips if the throttle is stabbed. Works and shifts great in forward gears. May or may not be an easy fix by your local tranny shop. Heater, horn and wipers do not work.

Overall: Solid truck for driver or restoration needing minor things fixed, but overall a good driver as is.
