2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Chrome Description

Up for sale is a great work truck.
It is a 3/4 Ton 4x4 Etended Cab 3-Door with 164,xxx miles.
It has gray leather interior. It is split and torn in places, especially the driver's seat. It has power seats that are heated.(They work flawlessly) Nice option in the winter up here.
The seats are quite comfortable; front and back.
The back seating area is roomy for an extended cab. We comfortably put 3 teens back there for woods trips, hunting, fishing, etc. 3 adults would be a bit cramped but 2 are fine for short to moderate trips.
It has the 6.0L V-8. Super strong engine. The truck has pulled various trailers from 5th wheel to Reese hitch with no issues. It gets around 12 mpg in town and 15 mpg on the road just driving not pulling.
It has a Westin Polished Stainless Steel Brushguard. Great for deer strikes that are inevitable up here.
*Bug shield.
*cruise control that works.
*the 3/4 ton tow package (if I am correct extra load capacity springs.)
* Electric trailer brake.
I put new front shocks on it this summer less than 3,500 miles ago
The tires are relatively new. I believe around 10,000 miles on them. Great Kenrda KleverAT Tires that are semi-agressive for back roads and not to noisy on pavement.
The truck starts and runs without any issues. It is a strong running truck.
I used it mostly for work. I drove it this summer & fall 3-4 days a week to, from and around Menominee county completing contract work. I depend on my trucks to get to and complete my jobs.
I recently purchased a newer truck and don't need 2 trucks.
I do like this truck. It is a beast. No matter the season, she starts right up and goes anywhere I ask it and back. It is very dependable. Not too bad to look at[at a glance :)]
The 4x4 works fine. Push button on dash. Neat for the year. Due to it's age, it is a bit "stiff" or "grabby" when you turn "tight" in 4 wheel drive. Not any problem just driving. Really no problem when turning. No issue at all when in 2wd.
The bad: It is almost 17 years old and has been in UP all that time.
RUST - she is rusty. rockers are gone but not all the way through into cab.
- cab corners going or gone. Bed is rusted through in a # of places & tailgate has a couple
places rusted out: the corner bracket rusted off. It still latches with remedial assistance.
It leaks oil - It leaks at a couple pressure hoses and I believe around the oil pan.
I have to put a quart in every 2,000 miles(which is 2 quarts between oil changes) Not too bad.
It looks as though the A/C leaks Freon. No air. Not a big deal to me - I prefer to have windows down.
CD player won't read Cd'sany more - I don't know if cassette works - AM/FM radio works fine
Rear seat belt on passenger side has locked up so it only works as a lap belt.
I think that is the bulk of what this truck is. She is a decent, sound older truck.
