1959 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description

1959 Chevy truck. This truck started out as a big grain truck with 55,000 actual miles. I drove it home when I bought it. I sub-framed the front with a 1985 Monte Carlo front suspension, giving the truck power steering and disc brakes, I used that front because it is narrow and would accomidate the18x8 front wheels and tires. I set up the front sub to be this low and it is stock and does not even have dropped spindles.then I sub-famed the rear with a 1963 chevy step-side bed, rear frame, and truck arm rear suspension. I used short springs and lowering blocks on the rear suspension.I built the chassis to be that low all the way around. IT DOES NOT HAVE AIR RIDE! It is set up that low on coil springs all the way around. It rides terrific. Thewheels areBoss 338 with 18" x 8" in the front and 18" x 9.5" in the rear. The tires are Ok but are not new. Thebig truck front clip was replaced with a 58 GMC front end and grille. The bed floor was raised a few inches to clear the rear suspension. Thetruck wasintended to be a little crusty so I did not repair any rust. It has rust in the outer rear cab corners, above headlights, rear of front fenders, and front outer cab corners. All is visible, nothing hidden. One rust spot inside above windshield. The floor, doors, and insidesteps are in great condition. The windshield is new but has one tiny rock chip. The wheel tubs and the running boards are fiberglass. It has a third brake light, 3 seat belts, and anewdigital stereo AM FM withdigital inputs. The heater, turn signals, fresh air vents, wipers, etc all work as they should. The inside of truck is finished with gloss paint, and rubber floor mat. The tank is in the factory position.I installed a hanging brake pedal with power booster on the firewall for power brakes. I used the factory steering column and steering wheel so it would look correct. I modified the column toattach to the power steering box on the independent front suspension. The rear end is out of a 1957 chevy passenger car. The engine is a mild 350 chevy installed used with a 350 turboautomatic transmission. ne aluminum radiator. cools great, does not overheat, even in hot summer parades. It has an edelbrock 600 carb, aluminum intake, and the trans is shifted with a Lokar shifter. It has cast manifolds and duel exhaust. I do not know the mileage of the engine and trans, but they work hard and are reliable. The truck does have a few minor oilleaks. Leaves spots in driveway when it sits awhile. Under the dash is all factory stock and all of the gauges and functions work. The exterior paint is basecoat only for a satin, weathered look and the color is from a 1956 Chevy Bel-air. I built this truck for my wife for Christmas about 4 years ago and she has loved and enjoyed it. We have put about 5000miles on it as you see it.That's how reliable and safe it is. LOL (my wife drives it) Last year I bought her a newer Chrysler 300 C with a Hemi andshe agreed to let me sell the truck to financemy next build. I amfinishing a 34 ford sedan that will be done in the springfor her to drive.Ibuild street rods for a living and have had my own shop for over 20 years. you can see my work on my websitefor my company Gibbon Fiberglass Bodies by Bond. This truck was built on a budget with many used parts, but the quality of work is good. It is solid, reliable and way cool! It is currently lisenced and we do use it. I would trust it to drive you home after you purchase it. It is road worthy and safe. I will service the engine and trans before you take it. Even though it looks so low, it does not have excessive low points. It does not bottom out or hit the ground when driven in normal conditions. It could use tires, new wiper blades and possibly new rear shocks, other than that, it is a good dayly driver right now! There is no reserve! NO TRADES, truck is in central Nebraska. Title is 1959 chevy. Look at my 100% positivefeedback.. no B.S. here! Trusted builder and seller. Could meet you somewhere for a fee, possible delivery. I have transport company we can useif you need it shipped.
