1969 Chevrolet Camaro Black Vinyl Top Description

Featured for auction here is an original 1969 Chevy Camaro Super Sport with a black vinyl top and steel rally wheels, fitted with BF Goodrich tires. This particular vehicle had been restored by an owner unknown to me at least sixteen years ago. I purchased from my Brother in 2003 and have a clear title in my name. This vehicle has been inside my enclosed garage for the past almost fourteen years, only started up to keep engine lubricated early on. After a year or so of storage, the carb got bad and would not start. I installed a new Rochester Spreadbore on the early chevy 350 V8 almost two years ago, and did have engine running and it sounded good, and was not burning oil or leaking oil. Before that I was taking distributor out and priming oil pump with drill and turning crankshaft by hand. The engine will not start at moment because I had battery connected and was doing work around relay and regulator, had wires loose (bad) and shorted something out. I have not had the time to try and figure it out. When this car was bought by my brother in 2000, it was really a sharp looking car, I would say on a grading scale a number three. Over the years in my two car garage, I am sorry to say I've scratched the paint in a few places and their is one dent on the right fender top crease line. I still don't know how that happened. The right quarter panel rear is just a little wavy from hitting against. These for-mentioned panels are replacement when restored and not rusted out.The trunk pan is the item that most needs attention due to the fact it was not replaced I discovered after the fact, I guest the restorer either was on a timeline, trying to save money, or felt it was not really necessary. But fiberglass was used to patch and strengthen, and some bondo for pinholes. Also I feel the rear frame rails will eventually need work. This Vehicle is best graded as a three right now as a driver once electrical repairs as stated are done. If any questions, please contact me. email and I can also talk by phone.
