1978 Chevrolet Corvette *NO RESERVE* Description

*NO RESERVE* Purchased this car several years ago. Repainted by previous owner, which is what attracted me to it. During my ownership the odometer stopped working at 81,000 miles. The engine (L48) appears to be the original, but runs strong and smooth. The exhaust also sounds great. I put new valve cover gaskets, rebuilt carb, new spark plugs, air and fuel filters and some vacuum lines. There are some oil leaks as you would find on an original engine of this age and miles that I haven't had time to address with gaskets. The power steering pump is also leaking. Headlights are sluggish to open, maybe a vacuum issue, and A/C is not working. There is an A/C compressor, just haven't attempted to fix it. Car driven to shows and garage kept. The interior appears all original and in great shape with the exception of an area in rear, which appears to have deteriorated over the years from age. There's an aftermarket radio and speakers. The body looks nice and paint job is sharp looking. I haven't seen any with this paint scheme. Most anniversary editions are black over silver. There is a small section of paint on the hood near the emblem that's cracked and some chips near the headlights that were covered with touch up paint. The car also has mirrored T-tops.
