2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Z-71 off road Description

2003 Silverado Z71 4x4

Legendary 5.3L V8

132,083 Miles -- this will go up as I do drive this.

Divorced transfer case (no electric motor to fail and leave you without 4x4 – like my 05)

This truck is in excellent condition for the year.It was purchased at a dealership with 33,757 miles by my nephew. It had been dealer maintained up until that point. - Carfax has all records of that. I know the last 90,000 miles of history on this.

As soon as he purchased this, there was a nice set of seat covers put on it which is why the interior is in such good condition.

At ~80,000 miles the rear end went and was replaced.– it has had nothing but full synthetic in it since

At ~110,000 miles the speedometer started reading sporadically so the gauge cluster was re manufactured and upgraded to led lights.

At ~115,000 the 4L60E Transmission lost 3rd and 4th gear with no notice and was replaced.

This spring, we replaced both rockers, cab corners, the bed, and a front fender due to typical Chevy rust.

At that time the truck received an all-over paint-job, all new handles, lights, emblems, grill, bumpers, decals, and mirrors.--- The truck looks new.

While the bed was off, the truck got a new fuel pump/sending unit and both rear spring shackles because they were starting to look rough.

All new brakes (the notorious brake line/connections that rots out that you can’t reach with the bed on) along with every single brake line on the truck.New calipers, pads, and rotors.New Front hubs/wheel bearings and ABS sensors.

At 128,000 it got plugs, wires, map sensor, mass air flow sensor, pcv valve, oil pressure sensor and an alternator.

Last week, it was Maryland state inspected – if you are not familiar with MD state inspections, they’re strict. It needed the blinkers fixed – replaced the junction box, and two front tires.

Took it to the tire shop and got 4 new tires a pit man arm, idler arm, and an alignment.

At this time, we discovered the water pump was starting to seep, so we replaced the water pump, thermostat, flushed the system and filled with new coolant.

This truck is in excellent condition. There are so many new parts on this thing that I am 100% sure that I’ve missed some things. It has been meticulously maintained as far fluid and filters go.Every component in the suspension is greaseable and was greased when the oil was changed.

You are not going to find a nicer cat eye Silverado than this one.The reserve covers the parts/materials/labor that has gone into making this truck look, drive, handle, and stop like brand new.

I would not bat an eye at driving this cross-country tomorrow. I will deliver this anywhere in the continental United States for $1/ mile one way.
