Clean, rust free Arizona car, upgraded 2 door Chevy II - 1962. First year of the Nova! Great daily driver muscle car This model is known to be great for speed because of its small wheel base and its light weight.
I'll try to list everything:
Solid throughout, clean primed and chassis painted engine bay, trunk, underneath, under body panels etc. see picts. it's not a perfect trailer queen- it's a solid driver (or good platform for a serious street rod).
upgrades:
new rack and pinion steering and cross member and uijoint kit from Unisteer, new steering column, (new manual steering for more horse),
The original steering system was bad on these, so beware if you are looking at another chevy 2). Professionally aligned at Network. New ball joints and red poly bushings.
small block v8 upgraded with Holley Street Dominator aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. since this car model is so light it flies even with its stock motor.. could easily put a turbo kit on it or whatever you want. Good fluids. POSI REAR differential- the stronger 10 bolt diff that can handle more h.p, (it's quick off line- posi geared a little quicker, it also rides nice at 70+mph too) Turbo 350 auto trans with new filter service, stock brakes work fine. B&m shifter.
new nice dual exhaust with mufflers so it's not too loud, but flows good; adjustable coil over shocks rear; new fuel sending unit; electric fuel pump in rear; new aluminum oversized radiator; vintage beer can overflow- haha; new alternator 1 wire conversion.
Alloy Iroc wheels wider in the rear, brand new Cooper tires up front, good tread wide super sports on back. Paint: acrylic urethane satin pewter metallic. stripes are not vinyl, they are 2 stage black professionally painted when the complete hood was painted. Frame is solid and straight, body is solid, isn't perfect but it looks good, and it comes with extra matching pewter paint kit, about 1/2 gallon!
interior:
the metal is a nice blue from a previous restoration and paint, has a few scratches here and there. new carpet, 2012 matching greyR/T seats- very comfortable and supportive with power adjustable drivers seat. front windows crank nicely.
have the original good heater box and fan unit (good and working) and wiper motor in a box.
new steering column (the old original will come with it also if you want it, the turn signals and horn not hooked up yet into that new harness. have the original headliner brackets which are hard to find, but no headliner installed, just primed and coated. the black soft vinyl door panels have a few defects, but are decent enough or easy to redo.
new headlamp switch. the lights and brake lights are hooked up and working, as well as the speedo gauge and fuel gauge with new sender. some elect things still need reconnected, but not needed to drive, rear deck was shaved so th elatch is disabled, but it sits down nice and heavy with a new seal kit. passenger door sags a little when you open it and a new hinge pin would fix that. there's just some little things that could be done still, so you can do some tinkering on things here and there to your liking.
notice the genuine SS bumper grill guard, an original piece from the 60's (hard to find these).
parts in the trunk: original chrome center console- it would look cool installed, original front running lights, new rear window seal from Precision (i preferred keeping the chrome look strips on rear window, but you can go to the new black rubber seal instead). extra paint kit- half gallon enough for a whole car. original steering column, original steering wheel
The first year of the Nova makes this a desirable model year with big upside in value.
It's hard to find these affordable and not needing a ton of major work. This one's driving good and it's fun!
Clean title in my name, private owner.
