1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description
WellI'msure no expert on onChevys, but Iacquiredthis from a friend who had big plans for it, but then things have changed and now I am selling it.Here is what I can tell you, and as honestly as I know it...This is a 2 door 210Delraymodel, and would make a neat hot rod or perhaps one to restorebackto theoriginal.
This car has a later model 10 bolt rear end with traction lock (posi). This is what I call a "barn find" It has been in storage for years sitting idle. It's had someamaturebody work done, years ago, but the frame is real good, as well as the trunk, engine compartment, etc.
The floors are rusty but I have brand new (american made) floor pans for it. (in the box). This car has its original 283 V-8 engine and came with a 3 speed manual trans. (its orig and in the trunk). The engine turns free.
I think he was going to install a 4 speed transmission but that's as far as he got. Having the clutch peddel assy. is usually a plus for a hot rod.I have tried to take good pictures to show its overall condition.unfortunatelyit was snowing outside, so please excuse the so-so pictures taken in the garage. I wanted to build a big-inch/straight axle car with it, but the engine I had lined up is no longer available to me.
I have a bench seat for it. (they can be re-done, are little hard to find, and are pricey). There aremisc.parts and trim in the truck.
I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. It is a builders title, and that is what gets issued from Colorado if the car is not completly operational when titled here...It came from Texas.
This car is 60
years old and being sold as is. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disapointed in anyway.
My opening bid is $5,000 with noreserve. It sure not perfect, but it needs a new home.Now... all this having been said... I cantimaginefinding a better project car like this for the price.
I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way.I
am honest and dependable, and the winning bidder can count on my help for a easy and smooth transaction...Thanks.Terms of sale...I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can.
