2006 Chevrolet Corvette Base Coupe 2-Door Description

420HP At The Wheels Performance Enhanced & Fully Loaded Corvette Z51 With Brand New Rear Tires - Must Sell Outside of California
Vehicle History
Super low miles for a 2006 vehicle, only 28,400 miles. I am the second owner of the vehicle, I purchased this car from the original owner via eBay in 2010. The original owner made some MAJOR upgrades, which I think make this car super fun to drive.
Original Sticker Price: $58,000
Performance Upgrades: $9,000
As you can see, the original owner put $67,000 into this car. When I bought the car, it had 12,000 miles on it. All I've done with the car is replace the brakes, tires and do oil changes. I have not done any performance enhancements to the vehicle.
Driving
When I first got this car, the rear tires would break loose every single time I stepped on the pedal hard. This was totally not fun and deep down inside I wondered if I would regret buying the car. Then, a good friend told me that all I needed were street legal drag radial tires. Got these Mickey Thompson tires and immediately the car was one of the most fun I've ever been in for accelerating quickly. It definitely throws your body back into your seat and sounds amazing. It is much more aggressive sounding and loud than a stock Corvette, by a bunch. I have taken the car on 2 track days, one at Thunderhill Raceway and one at Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. Both days I had an instructor in my car and I was in the novice group. But had an amazing time and it was extremely fun driving the Corvette around the track.
Performance Stats
Brand New Mickey Thompson tires. Literally 10 miles total on these brand new rear drag radials. When I decided to sell the Corvette, my tires were getting very run down and in my opinion it needed brand new ones so I decided to buy those and put them on. Receipt posted below.
420 horsepower AT THE WHEELS per the Dyno sheet posted in this ad. Over 70HP higher than stock. You can see old DYNO and new DYNO attached. I actually don't know if the "old DYNO" was totally stock or if performance mods had already been made. So it's at least 70HP higher than stock. It sounds bad ass.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This vehicle must be sold OUTSIDE OF CALIFORNIA as it does not pass California Smog tests anymore. I've done a bunch of research and talked to multiple shops and they have said that to pass California's new smog tests that thousands of dollars of performance enhancements would need to be removed from the car. So this car is not for sale to anyone who lives in California.
Other Stuff
The heads up display is super nice to have, you can see how fast you are driving on the bottom area of the windshield. This car has all of the options for the best audio, XM, navigation, etc.
