1971 Chevrolet El Camino Rust Free
1971 Chevrolet El Camino Description
I am relisting this nice El Camino. Body is rust free. Always a California car. The car drives and handles very well.I have had all the suspension bushings replaced with polyurethane. The other suspension parts were replaced by the prior owner. I recently had the engine and trans removed, resealed and the engine painted. The tires are like new. I don't drive it much anymore. It still runs strong and straight. Has power steering and brakes and A/C. Also, I added electric trailer brakes. I towed a travel trailer for a short time. Some of the moldings have been dented but I include replacements for those. There is a dent in the tailgate and some repair needed around the gas door. There are signs of rust under the vinyl top. The top will leak during rain. The chrome, grille and glass are real nice. The door panels are good. The headliner is bad but I have a replacement which is included. The car was originally an ugly brown. When I first got the car 22 years ago, I replaced the original engine with a used, good running 350. Also a good TH350 trans with a shift kit, which provides nice, firm shifts.Send any questions you might have. Call me at 559-642-6427 between 8 and 8 pacific time. Or email nailhead59@sti.net.
