Excellent Original

1966 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

This car was purchased from the original owner's estate along with other classics in his collection. This is the last one to be sold. It is in excellent original condition, as a museum specimen, almost too good to be true. It starts, drives, steers and stops as a new car would.
It has a powerful work horse, durable yet economical big Six engine, used on many trucks of that era. It was sold with power steering and automatic transmission. With plenty power for its full size to cruise along, yetit had never been raced (as most V-8's would have been.) It's really a fun car to drive, not to mention it's so Cool! It would make a perfect Sunday car for a fine lady. Under 88k documented miles. It looks as good as it drives. Body is perfect. Paint is shiny. Upholstery is like new for this 50-year old car. It is not "restored," and mostly original (updated with Vision 55 wheels and 205/65 radials.)
On the realistic side, the gas gauge is stuck. The period under dash Sears air conditioner, evaporator, condenser and pressure lines are there. It would need a compressor to be operational (available as Chevy truck part on Ebay.) This is a once in a life time opportunity to come across a car like this. Classics should be fun, not work. (Some have little idea what it would take to "restore" a project correctly. Getting all the right parts, mechanical, interior, body, i.e. rubbers, glass, locks, chrome, trims, and spending the time are the most obvious challenges. You never know what you'd get until it's all finished. Most models would not be worth the effort. You simply cannot build a car of this quality for the price.)
